The fifth edition of Banega Swachh India Cleanathon on NDTV channel in India on October 2 was wonderful. Hope they continue with the same enthusiasm in the years to come. Such programmes elicit wide interest. A word of appreciation for campaign ambassador Mr Amitabh Bachchan, Mr Prannoy Roy, Mr Vikram Chandra and other participants. The programme itself lasted for over 12 to 13 hours and that was no mean feat.
The Asian Age newspaper's story on Oct 4 on the Price for being Banked by Mr Moin Qazi was great. The banks across private and public sectors should do away with imposing penalties if one is not able to maintain a minimum balance. Banks are here to cheer the public and not harass them.
