Shashikant Jha Whom We Knew

Shashikant Jha came to Delhi a little after mid-70s from Sultanganj in Bihar. After few months he joined the printing press department of a leading English Daily. He worked there for over two and a half decades. He used to frequent Bihar as and when the opportunity came. He was a true sailor who never missed an opportunity to help those who sought his services. He never raised his voice and was sober in his conduct. He was like a family member. He was instrumental in providing our household numerous domestic assistants who were true to their duty. 

Shashikant  Jha would be remembered for the services rendered to the newspaper industry and others. He had one son and two daughters who are well settled. He was a true inspiring figure who had immense faith in Goddess Katyayani and would frequent the famed Katyayani temple in Chhatarpur in Delhi. Eighties and '90s was the period when he would visit us as when he finished his Press duty. Our childhood stories complemented with success and struggle doesn't get completed without mentioning about Shashikant Jha and all that he did for us. 

Shashikant Jha was a true resident of Sultanganj in Bhagalpur District in Bihar State in India. He was a true campaigner and would remain etched in our memories for long.
