Our thoughts are on train staff as the said train leaves Madurai on Saturday night at 12.55 am and reaches Delhi on Monday after 6 pm. The train staff is too tired and no sooner they take a break, the train resumes Delhi-Madurai journey at 5.20 am on Tuesday morning. The train staff doesn't get adequate sleep and they are on their job by Tuesday morning itself. Running this train is wonder of sorts as it goes through States Of Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra And Tamil Nadu. These are all promising States/Provinces In India taking more than baby steps to lift more people out of poverty. We often wonder what food/meals the passengers have, do they have omelette bread in the morning or veg cutlet, in the afternoon rice with sambhar and vegetables and same course repeated during night? The said train which departs on Tuesday morning takes whole of Tuesday, entire Tuesday night, entire Wednesday and reaches Madurai at 12.05 am. In agreement is the train staff that on Thursday morning as well it leaves from Hazrat Nizamuddin at 5.20 am sharp, taking whole of Thursday, entire Thursday night, entire Friday before reaching Madurai at 12.05 and this is true for second set of train.
Journey Is Arduous
The journey undertaken is arduous and train staff including driver and guard and passengers are ever ready to catch sleep which has been elusive for a better part of two days. The best part is Madurai Amman Temple is nearby and after visiting the Goddess Temple one can reschedule their itinerary and visit Lord Ramanathaswamy Temple In Rameswaram in Tamil Nadu State In India. We wish well for the passengers and staff of this train as it inches towards a destination in South India much famed for Goddess Temple.
We are also thinking about Nashik In Maharashtra State In India and the weather template that it is blessed with. We are also thinking about Kempegowda Bus Stand In Bengaluru In Karnataka State In India and the pitch maintained by different set of vehicles to race ahead.
As India is blessed with different set of trains ferrying passengers from one end to another South India is the Crowning Glory and would continue to be so.
