Having reached Guruvayur in Kerala State In India on a Saturday with little or no fear that accommodation would be an issue I began the search for lodge beginning from East Nada covering as diverse as Previnnya Lodge, Brahmaputra Tourist Home and Aishwarya Tourist Home to name a few which outright rejected the demand for room thereby making it amply clear that I would have to roam. In the Malayalam Calendar the coming Sunday was considered to be auspicious and in view of that most lodges expressed inability to spare a room even if one had no audacity to croon. Touching lodges and hotels after hotels the difficulty to access a room I had not foreseen and it almost took two hours to zero in on a lodge near Karakkad Road perhaps going by the Name Shree Krishna Nilayam (Near Guruvayur MSS Juma Masjid) and this was well past 12 AM. Mr Nandkumar was the man at the desk who took me to a room in a dilapidated state the bathroom no good either with the promise he would shift me to an adjacent building next morning (Newly Built) which would be in a much better shape and this night enduring in nature one shouldn't ape.

Right at 5 in the morning Mr Nandkumar was at the door with a glass of milk something I need to admire as the milk was pure and authentic and that was largely the sum total of surroundings outside and the visual semantics. Before the noon was to set in came a gentleman going by the name Mr Raju who having learnt I was devotee of Lord Guruvayur (Guruvayurappan) promised me that he would speak to Mr Nandkumar to see the room tariff was scaled down so that stay was long enough to be comfortable even if I was not wearing the crown. In the meanwhile I visited Harikrishna Online Hub (Mr Diljith At The Desk) near the bus stand to do a story and here special praise for the staff who would have by all means heard of Climate Envoy John Kerry. Harikrishna Cyber Cafe  I have visited in the past as well in 2016 when I was in Guruvayur after coming from Rameswaram and Kanniyakumari and in the rivers of these places what comes handy off and on are ferry.

The date and time of arrival was fixed for Monday with a certainty that stay would be minimum for three days and this could be extended if there were no dance troupe arrival and their trace. Visited outer precincts of Lord Guruvayur (Guruvayurappan) Temple in the evening knowing fully well I would be able to visit the said temple on Tuesday and not before that as room had to be vacated on Monday. Took light snacks in the evening from Nandini Restaurant. Monday morning after taking milk and black tea from Coffee Shop (Janaki Suites) (It's Coffee Time) visited outer precincts of Lord Guruvayur (Guruvayurappan) Temple and later visited Pisharody Samajam where Mr Mani was at the desk to make it doubly sure that room would be there with no fear.

Checked in Pisharody Samajam  in South Nada after 1 PM and later took meals from Hotel Saravana Bhavan. A clean room with attached bath and this was all I asked for and having made mental note of the fact that the milk provided by Mr Nandkumar of Shree Krishna Nilayam was the best and milk from Coffee Shop and Devas Soorum were no match and for all devotees visiting Mr Nandkumar's lodge should have access to milk coming from MILMA brand batch. Tuesday morning I was all set to access Lord Guruvayur (Guruvayurappan) Temple with Hotel Personnel Mr Shinoj helping me with the mundu. When I joined the queue after writing diary it was 7.02 AM and from 7.04 to 9.27 the line did not move. It was at 9.30 devotees in the queue began to proceed towards temple and I was in sanctum sanctorum at 9.45 and came out of temple at 10.17 AM. Here one needs to note men should be draped in mundu dhoti alone and they can wear the shirt only after coming out of temple mindful of where they have kept their phone. 

Grand Supermarket In South Nada with Mr Sainuddin at the desk came handy for snacks. This is the store to watch out for as it has affable staff. Hot bake and cool club in South Nada in Guruvayur also came handy with Mr Abdul and Mr Kareem attending to customers with enough grace and they in return earning praise. In Tirupati in Friends Tea Stall there were Mr Kumar, Mr Shekhar, Mr Babu and Mr Lakshman whose shop is visited by those functioning in the capacity of doorman.
