Thursday after returning from Lord Ramanatha Swamy Temple I vacated SRI RAMANJANEYA CHATRAM (North Car Street) with hosts like Mr Girish and Mr Muni Swamy looking good and I setting sights on Kanniyakumari, which in due course of time would be visited by followers of Australian Artist Jimmy Crute. SRI RAMANJANEYA CHATRAM had been kind enough to give space for over three days and hope to pop in another day another month when despite bad press EVM won't be shunned. As I visited Just A Sarang cafeteria and made calls to a taxi group to get me the vehicle of choice to reach Kanniyakumari where I could rejoice, thoughts were on how the ride would be in a State where Tamilians (Tamilians are natives of Tamil Nadu The State) on a host of issues agree.

Leave Rameswaram at 10.17 AM with rail tracks running parallel to road and here there is no GM on board. Here I seeking association with Lord Ramanatha Swamy to call me again and again even if that is supposed to be winter with less rain. At 10.26 Madurai 160 kms away where too ardent devotees go and pray. This very moment comes Pamban Bridge with early sighting of a large number of vessels in the sea, and a large number of people including Muslims, getting out of their car to get a real look that comes for free. Thinking about Gujarat and Mumbai and the family I came in touch with in Chennai Egmore station where there is a dire need to run early morning trains to Rameswaram. As I go past Southern Railways Officers' Rest House, there are a large number of Tamil Nadu State Road Transport Corporation buses that have hit the road with some at the wheels thinking about Erode. Here Coimbatore 370 kms and Salem 350 kms. 

Mandapam Camp Railway Station

At 10.36 Mandapam Camp Railway Station comes. At 10.39 Nagapattinam 244 kms. Thinking about some taking taxis from Chennai to Rameswaram, and not getting deterred by hefty cab sum. Take a note of ONGC Energy Now And Next. And herein mopeds galore with notings made in RMM where they come to the fore. Few minutes later Trichy 201 kms and Ariyaman Beach 1.5 kms. At 10.58 Kanniyakumari 274 kms. Go past INS Parundu. From here Paramkudi 56 kms, Chennai 514 kms and Puducherry 367 kms. At 11.17 Theni 200 kms, Cochin 389 kms. From here turn left and there are directions to Thoothukudi, Tiruchendur and Kanniyakumari.

Having staged two different visits to Chennai Egmore the previous to previous Sunday, all attempts were aimed at securing porter for the day I was supposed to leave for Rameswaram with an intent and hope no one would misbehave with me and no one would try to nail me. Mr Ibrahim, The Porter In Delhi Hazrat Nizamuddin, engaged in no misconduct and so were other range of porters which I sighted once I boarded train for Rameswaram. The rides from Delhi to Chennai and followed by Chennai to Rameswaram were least bothering and the sum total of the exercise so far was by no means hallucinating. Against this backdrop I hoped the ride to Middle Sections Of India would be getting me in no sort of trouble and those in surroundings amenable. 

As I inched towards Bengaluru and stayed in Platform 8 for the train to park itself designated to leave at 8 PM, I was in thoughts on how the different rides in South India had been inviting enough to engage in broad conversations with litmus test on no one was getting abusive and all in their sense. Where was the need for Delhi Locals to take a seat in proximity and showcase their presence by abuse and more abuse? I was all by myself and in a dilemma of sorts. When the train finally pulled in these Delhi Locals Coach was more than 150 metres away. These Delhi Locals astute aim was to take a seat in my proximity and raise a banner of revolt that they can"t stomach my visiting South India and whichever part of country I step in they won't spare me. 

These Delhi Locals and their thunder to navigate and narrate tales of inconvenience primarily suggest that in pre partition days these Delhi Locals successfully manufactured abusive rockets which could fly in one try. These Delhi Locals knew that after the country would gain Independence they would have new association to built on in their empire of existence, and they would deem fit to give trouble to those who can't display his or her writ. From Delhi Locals abuse spread to Hindi Heartland and later to other parts of country.  Abuse that too heard in Hindi Heartland is alarming and fights breaking out in corridors of power is by no means entertaining. These Delhi Locals pound you in whichever part of country one pays a visit and they taking a seat in my proximity was all stage managed by Home Ministry and an evil attempt to get entertainment gadget free. Home Ministry goons travel right from Delhi and tail me to sections in India I access making it doubly sure I am under stress. These are wonderful elements out to undo advantages of 50 years and they have blessings of a regime that is worn out with no fear. More trouble was to follow in Bhopal.

Perhaps it dates back to September 10, 2010 when I set out on a mission to explore Rameswaram for the first time, having understood there are temples in South India that are giant. The visit and the whisper was all about the need to keep a date with Lord Ramanatha Swamy, The Presiding Deity of Rameswaram Temple. This time round I made it sure I had access to train tickets, with different sets of trains arriving at designated destinations looking all glorified, and having strong tenets. Having arrived in Rameswaram (RMM) on a Monday, and gaining accommodation in Ramajaneya Chatram in North Car Street, with Mr Girish looking all wonderful with no pressing need to have rouble that is visible. Rouble is all set to sink and lose wings as it is in crosshairs of Kings. Kings who could not keep their differences apart despite knowing there is reservoir of support for Thai Baht. 

Three Temple Visits On Three Different Days.

The three visits on three different dates to Lord Ramanatha Swamy were consistent with a prayer that I get umpteen opportunities to lock myself in a pursuit to get an audience with the Lord as and when the need arises and the days and nights looking broad. The Lord and the listening post he delivers are all to provide solace to a society that is no stranger to churning and developments and that too not in brevity. Let the Lord and the temple he resides in be the one which steer the wheels of world governance, giving no room to invaders in a sizeable theatre as it is now to get the less befitting prompt eminence. Eminence to those who keep thousands in dislocation corridor can never be a reality for them as they have put on glasses of Intruder GM. The Lord listens to appeals of sobriety with all at back of his mind, with Lord Ramanatha Swamy looking fine and kind. Cyber Cafe In RMM No Reality;  Exploring Eating Joints In Entirety.

Besides the visits to the temple, the pressing need to share space with cyber cafe didn't yield success as all internet connection apparatus had no thunder and disappeared in oblivion akin to tales of not-to-register functional EVM. The tale and trajectory of functional cyber cafe was least to expect during the current visit to RMM, much to do with fewer returns from season to season. The right to explore eating joints took me to Just A Sarang (Royal Park) and S S Grand Hotels, and these two cafeteria hoping to host guests from Emirates. Visitors From Emirates would come in due course of time perhaps in a year or so when Middle East Muscle would get the glow. Would the shine of Middle East come during spring as all hullabaloo is about leaders who have pens with drying ink? This would be known as we step into series of new months bringing news in tonnes. The visit and those holding vision to RMM would not have come at a better time as traffic diaspora in the city of Delhi is handed out traffic fine. Fine for the mere fact that reckless driving was engaged from time to time to show they are road behemoth and well aware of traffic plot. Some would opine Delhi is a city of institutional impropriety, as institutions after institutions have shed gate of creativity. Send summons to ten here and thousands there and which are not rare would make the RMM Denizens take this line that Delhi is a city of monotonous ego with least line of communications with Santiago. Conversations with Santiago could hardly pick up in a season when VIP Movement is draining out enough bucks. So RMM Denizens would all be surprised over developments in the heart of Delhi with inflated power and water bills not invoking perfect tally.

So as I waded into RMM theatre with a hope and a wish that I get to float here at random as this is the very region that hosted Kingdom. So as I wrapped up my three-day visit to RMM, the need to access Kanniyakumari was a resolution invoking faith in sacred spaces of Tamil Nadu The State. Kanniyakumari and how to get to its gate was a dilemma that took hours to sort out, and a cab ride that sprout in a nation where HIGHWAY roads hug you and take away the career blue, was looking to be a perfect clue. So as I intended to get into Kanniyakumari Vacation, hoping against hope it would spell success with a neat equation, the ride set into during day time would have enough pluses and choices.

There weren't many stoppages as the convoy (RMM Humsafar Super Fast Train) traveled through Tamil Nadu's Limelights, which are blessed with a rich heritage and people who are wise.  The third stoppage was at Vridhachalam at 2:12 PM, and the next one was approaching Ariyalur at 3.03 PM, with some people reestablishing contact with the officiating GM.  Again Ariyalur one of the cleanest railway stations in Tamil Nadu perhaps in letter and spirit and that it may be considered a green zone with attentive residents who are familiar with lethal power of ICBM cone. At 3.30 Lalgudi came with a woman guard holding green flag and in this part of country one occasionally comes across women conductors, women guard, women auto drivers and future thrust could well be women bus drivers enlisting lot of cheers. 

Reaching Tiruchchirappalli, Reaching Pamban Bridge

At 4.03 Tiruchchirappalli came, and the train left from here at 4.45 with no noteworthy episode of who has tendered a bribe. At 5.22 the convoy reaches Pudukkottai, Manamadurai at 6.49, Ramanathapuram at 8.02, Pamban Bridge at 8.40, and Rameswaram at 8.57. The ride to Rameswaram was exciting enough to put us on a new pedestal, and caution became the buzzword on arrest that is digital. Digital arrest episodes have floundered over a period of time, with a lone incident here and there taking away the fraud shine. Arrive at 9.30 at Ramanjaneya Chatram (North Car Street) with Mr Girish all ready to host me.

The sleep that I gained on Monday Night at Ramanjaneya Chatram was best to date in South India And Entire India and due to that, I was able to put in a long prayer session on Tuesday in Lord Ramanatha Swamy Temple, entering from East Car Street. Unlike previous occasions, the exit is from South Car Street and this is neither needed nor required. Let the exit be from East Car Street as well. On Wednesday and Thursday the visits to Lord Ramanatha Swamy Temple were hassle free and those taking free darshan they too be allowed to get in the paid queue if the rush in the temple was manageable, as all devotees and disciples are equal. Again, all disciples are equal. Some from North India tend to pay the priest, and that doesn't befit the visit of that disciple. At the entrance gate there should be announcements essentially carrying the message that pin-drop silence should be maintained inside the temple and there should be boards at various points conveying that sentiment. Pin-drop silence is what the Reigning Deity Looks Forward To.

On board RMM Humsafar the conversation veered towards the 11-year-old setup with those at the front desk vis-à-vis a regime of Indira which was put under a lot of duress and test. Mr Rao, the cop, and Mr Sumanth, hankering for no attention despite doing accounts jobs, thundered that these 11 years have been fine, and in the period before that India was not liberated, and here now New Delhi was getting pampered and gaining in world stage huge accolades and fewer willing to park themselves next to yachts. One could not nail Mr Rao's thunder that in these 11 years no one plundered having understood each section each day submit a new tender. .

Conversation carried on till night in the train, with some maintaining that everyone is entitled to an opinion, and in this age of Media All Praising Messiah, true reportage is next to nil, and reportage that carries low dose of facts is akin to handout that is shrill. Facts are the least to get from this set of media, even though we are not in Nigeria's Abia. Having reached Chennai Egmore, the auto I boarded seemed to be on a fast track and I almost getting waylaid as the auto guy was out to make a fast buck. He probably realised I was new to the city and he took a circuitous route to reach Chennai Egmore the city that was least expected to get its share of furore. Having stayed in the city the entire Sunday, I made two rounds of Chennai Egmore Station to figure out the possibility of getting a porter the coming Monday for a train that had commenced its journey on Saturday. On Monday, as I left Tourist Home, I made note of Tamil Nadu Police Department guy in plain clothes occupying room 306 from Saturday onwards and another guy replacing him on Sunday night banging doors and the lift.I somehow managed to gain reprieve; however long spell of heat may have been, some having delusions and likely to crib after getting the brief. Having reached Chennai Egmore Station by 9 AM there was no porter to be found and there is prepaid AC Waiting Hall and this may not reap a rich haul. 

No Display Screen Adding to Passengers' Inconvenience

There are no display screens, and that too on Platform 5, from where RMM Humsafar Express was expected to go. Except for one at the entry point, and that doesn't get the passengers the much-needed glow. In the station I came across one family from Warangal, another from Nagpur and a third one from Amreli. Amreli guy I tell him I have visited Gujarat The State extensively probing limelights like Dwarkadhish, Okha, Nageshwar, Somnath, Ahmedabad, Surat, Rajkot, Jamnagar, Surendranagar, Kutchh, and a host of other places where probably one can understand the workers under MNREGA getting due wages. Those living under the poverty line, the numbers convey a different picture despite plants in varied sectors coming up and teething functioning leading to year-to-year fissure.

Rameswaram (RMM) bound train leaves at 10.50, more than one hour behind schedule, and I have to carry luggage on my own from entry gate to Platform 5.
