Having Arrived In Jaisalmer

Having Arrived In Jaisalmer

Having Arrived In Jaisalmer at a time when tourists were making a beeline to enter the fort city, more inclined to believe their stay would be no less than a behemoth innings where some are yet to get going with weather findings. Painstaking reality is that from April To June when most parts of India are in the grip of heat wave, tourists keeping a date with Jaisalmer won't be abundant as temperatures rocketing to 50 degrees celsius and above, and herein lies the rub. And primarily for that reason I set on this February month with the bus ride from Jodhpur with no notable sessions of pause and none posing to be a boss.

Taking A Room In Hotel Renuka Reminiscent Of Tirupati Stay

As I stepped out of bus stand and completed the commute to take a room in Camel Country (Mr Pathan, Mr Raju Bhai At The Desk) followed by a more meaningful stay in Hotel Renuka, the thunder and twist of residing in this Desert Rajasthan State was no less than a bliss. Chainpura Street in particular offers varied accomodation points with tourists least to be misguided in a city that has over the years won laurels and singularly law abided. Hotel Renuka in Chainpura Street brought on table a spacious room with attached bath clean to the last mile reminiscent of a room in SUPRABATH TOWERS in Tirupati  (Andhra Pradesh Province In South India) Opposite TTD SRINIVASAM with Mr Jay Chandra Reddy at the helm, and that too in July 2023 when India least faced tariff churn. That visit intended to touch base of Tirumala where Lord Venkateswara resides had its share of ups and downs. There were no personnel to guide that token had to be  gained from Bhudevi Complex, something that led me to cover 3550 steps from Alipiri Gate To Tirumala minus token, and enormity of undercurrents could well be visualised once I joined the general queue which most rue. Perhaps TTD should come out with notifications from time to time on changes ushered in for devotees to keep a date with Lord Venkateswara Temple irrespective of those reporting to brand Apple. Coming back to Jaisalmer Mr Yash Purohit of Hotel Renuka was the one who allotted me the room given the previous day discussion on my pressing need to shift to a new hamlet in a city that during night is blessed to see Jaisalmer Fort well lit. Staff members going by the names Mr Roshan, Mr Ayub and Mr Surendar Singh (Prized Cook Hailing From Pauri Garhwal In Uttarakhand State In North India) made the stay equally memorable and durable. Not to miss out on the meals he prepared on the day I was supposed to leave for Ajmer (Ajmer Dargah), and for the latter I having the brief to the fore.

Stay Spread Over Six Days

The stay in Jaisalmer spread over six days, improvised and uninterrupted from the previous four-day stay in July 2014, and this ignited interactions with different set of guys making no noise. Coming across Mr Talpat Singh who has three corners inside Fort (Free Tibet Restaurant, Panorama Restaurant; Run By Mr Vikram Singh, Refreshing Point Juice Corner), with a will to connect with all those who are in distant port. Mr Singh threw in the towel well before others could barely arrange their schedule, and this reaped dividends and that set in broad range of confidence. Meet Mr Rajendra Purohit, who is Post Office Agent, and here I initiate discussions on Fixed Deposits made by those who have on minimal outing faced any blues irrespective of economy losing at random clues. Meet as well Automan Mr Giriraj Purohit who whiled away the time next to Fort bringing on board his passion to run auto for the past 23 years, and this being his fifth auto by no means looking fierce. He broached the issue of women inside Fort who did not report to high schools even for a day and well conversant in French and German given the scale of interactions with tourists far and wide, visiting this paradise in ton. His two sisters truly settled inside Fort, two sisters outside Fort.

Taking Black Tea

While taking a voyage to Chandan Shree Restaurant one would invariably come across Nachana Haveli Building which I was told is 300 years old and Nachana Haveli hotel including SAFFRON Restaurant (30 years old). Not to forget TRIO The Restaurant and black tea served by Mr Narain Singh, that lend spring to the steps, and thereby one could text. Text on how amazing is this city, and some keeping memories in DVD. The 2014 commute to Jaisalmer was accomplished in a train ride from Jaipur (Jaipur Is Capital Of Rajasthan Province In West India) and guys from Shahi Palace Hotel in Shiv Road came to receive and transport me to Oasis Haveli. This time as well I visited Shahi Palace on few occasions to do a story as well as partake meals that were exceptionally soft on stomach. A word of praise for Mr Devilal and Mr Akshay.
