Cyber cafes in Ajmer; visiting Anna Sagar; leaving the city on a Saturday

Cyber cafes in Ajmer; visiting Anna Sagar; leaving the city on a Saturday

THe best cyber cafe happenned to be on Kacheri Road. It is opposite a tea point where tea of longing session can be tried. One cup is enough to keep to uplift your mood. In Mahaveer Marg as well tea can be tried depending on the demand that greets the vendors when you visit them. Naya Bazar is nestled amidst shops of different beats; roads are wide and parking port showing vehicles of differing budget. From Pandit eating joint the walk to Anna sagar takes 10 minutes, with the lake deep enough and with no barbed wires or walls high enough to prevent kids who venture out alone. Lake looks liberating giving opportunities to those with liberal views on what reserves lie underneath There is a cyber cafe as well in Dhan Mandi. Not a desolate stretch but one should visit the same if there are handful of people. There is a shiva temple nearby, perhaps a better upkeep of the idol with a glass frame could be better.

No enquiry counters at reservation floor after two in afternoon
Friday was the day to leave and at Ajmer station, there are no functioning enquiry counters on reservation floor after two in the afternoon. This is the rule here and to make any enquiry one has to get into the reservation line. So for one enquiry a minimum of 40 minutes is required. And those manning the reservation counter they need to adopt a broad outlook. One can understand they may be hardpressed for time.  It was Friday the 14th and as i somehow managed to make an enquiry from downstairs on seat availability, Ashram Express was the likely option. When i tried from a cyber cafe in Kacheri road, the waiting status for the same seat had begun to show. A better planning by passengers can do wonders. I was at fault to not get the seat booked earlier. Wanted to leave the city by Friday but could not do so. So took a Shalimar lodge and the less said about it the better. The tea from Sagar eating joint is ok. But the chole bhature from the same place if possible should be avoided. It is dripping in oil and if you are alone in the restaurant, that gives enough time to insane elements to hone their skills. Two waiters, one hailing from Naseerabad and another hailing from Nepal and yet claiming to be from Bihar, were good to interact. Tea from Jannat restaurant was equally good.  And here Imran Mohammad pursuing a course from Government College of Ajmer was helpful. The Ajmer station has been redone over the years. Twenty years ago, the reservation counter was a small place with a bamboo-cum- wooden cardboard  all to separate the passenger from those manning the counter.

Saturday left the city by a train that departs a little after 12 pm.   A stay in the city amidst varying visits to Dargah and roundabout. A stay that mirrored high expectations from places like Madar gate and Kucheri Road. A stay that should not be spread beyond two days. Getting clothes from Jyoti garments was handy.  Passengers look forward to a train service from Ajmer that leaves around 10 or 11 in the morning and reaches Delhi by 7 in the evening.
