Visiting Fateh Sagar Lake, City Palace in Udaipur; leaving for Ajmer

Visiting Fateh Sagar Lake, City Palace in Udaipur; leaving for Ajmer

At Fateh Sagar lake i happen to meet three boys from Udaipur. Moving ahead there was Mr Kuldeep selling namkeen. Mr Sunil Vaishno at Sunil Tea stall was kind enough to hand over a cup of coffee. The said coffee could bring spring to your steps. Then there was Mr Dhanraj Devasi with camel waiting for customers. There was Krishna Chat Pav bhaji stall and Mansarovar chai and bread pakora stall. A few minutes later i happen to meet Mr Justin Brown from Nagaland.  He along with his family members came from Dimapur to Delhi by train and from Delhi to Udaipur too by train. Mr Justin Brown was delighted to hear from me that people by and large admired northeast people. Then there was Mr Ghansi Ram from Pushkar playing instrument. There was Mr Sanjay working for aquarium.

There was a board that stated Want to share your Udaipur memories with fellow travellers click  and  share on "Padharo Udaipur" app. Mr Sanjay working in Mani Sagar Hotel and Mr Kumar Chand who came from Palwal in Haryana for office work with others were other people i came across. At the lake there was Mr Kishan an automan and a  woman from New Zealand who was moving with a guide. The spot where i sat for long brought me face to face with a large number of people from across the world. There was Mr Pierre from Canada who came on Nov 22nd to Delhi. From Delhi he went to Kolkata, J&K and returned to Delhi. From Delhi he went to Bikaner, Pushkar, Ajmer and now he was in Udaipur. Since 2008 this was the third time he was in India. Came across Mr Abdul Rauf who undertook welding work, Mr Noor Mohammad from Udaipur

Meeting students from Udaipur

Then there was Mr Badri Lal along with his Daughter Yashoda. Mr Badri Lal's Wife was not keeping well. Mr Badri lal was engaged in constructing houses and hailed from Chowkria, about 8 kms from Udaipur. He was visiting Fateh Sagar lake to meet his Son Mr Upen selling Kulfi. Then there was Mr Narayan Singh from Batchra, a place beyond Udaipur airport. For different functions he was part of a group engaged in getting the food ready to be served and relished. There was Mr Ejor from Russia. Mr Ejor Reached Delhi on 3rd December. Had been to Jaipur, Pushkar and now he was in Udaipur. He told me he would be travelling to Mumbai and from there to Goa. In Fateh Sagar lake there was Mr Jaswant selling namkeen. I came across a group of five teachers giving tuition in Jodhpur the second largest city in Rajasthan state and had come to Udaipur as tourists. They told me places to explore in Jodhpur were Mehrangarh Fort and Kailana Lake. Making a query about Lord Hanuman temple in Jodhpur they told me it is Pal Balaji Temple in Pal road in Jodhpur which was a famous Lord Hanuman Temple. Later i happen to meet students of Vidhya Bhawan. There was a jeep with a number plate RSB 6074. Came across Mr Girish a photographer with Dainik Nav Jyoti a newspaper. Further ahead in Moti Magini in Fateh Sagar lake there were a number of stalls. Then there was Mr Nauratan selling chanajor garam

Need to decongest roads in Delhi

There was a board saying Rajasthani dress mein photo khichaye (get clicked in Rajasthani dress). Meeting Mr Prakash with a family from Neemuch in Madhya Pradesh. Then there was Moti the elephant. Mr Hargovind Das the elephant mahout. Met Mr Nadeem staying near Fateh Sagar lake and Mr Fergus from England. Mr Saurabh Soni from Uttarakhand working near North Campus Delhi University spoke on the issues bedevilling the National Capital of Delhi and the need to restore the glory of Delhi. There was unanimity on the need to levy surcharge on households having second car/vehicle and need to bring discipline on the roads of Delhi. The large winding traffic was a sight no one would relish and there was a need to decongest the ring roads of Delhi. Both of us agreed that Delhi had excessive pollution and some remedial measures were required at the outset to bring normalcy to the proceedings. Sale of limited number of cars each year and that too through draw of lots would help to keep the traffic trim on the roads of National Capital of Delhi. The rude quotient that Delhi woke up to every day was to do with little awareness among a certain set of people about other places in the country and other parts of the world and how people conducted themselves. The need to bring the northeast people into the mainstream was the need of the hour.
