Hindi Movie Mardaani 2 Released In India And Its Review

Hindi Movie Mardaani 2 Released In India And Its Review

The opening scene is of a man no less than a Monster who sees women as sexual toys to be played around. Sexually starved the Monster ravages and vandalises the women from top to toe and this is what he is best doing at with aplomb. The film has undercurrents of wild sexual assault taking place  now and then with this Monster Sunny ripping apart women of his liking or one who have hit his self esteem much to the chagrin of SP Shivani Shivaji (Actor Ms Rani Mukerji). The Monster has been hired by a politico in Kota who wants to get rid of a journo and he carries out this act by making it look as if it was a suicide and not a murder.

Having excelled in UPSC (Union Service Public Commission) exams conducted in India and undergone training at Patel Police Academy, SP Shivani has the knack to take the bull by the horn. Having visited a crime scene where a woman fell prey to nasty designs of Monster, the assaulted woman was all by herself with innumerable assaults visiting her leaving her motionless and Shivani is able to divulge that assault was the handiwork of a lefty who dragged the hapless woman before strangulating her with his belt. The script has loose ends in the sense that Shivani is not able to develop these leads to a conclusive correction with the Monster having the audacity to visit her home in her absence and vandalise her belongings.

There are three main character playing the role of senior cops, Saxena the DGP, Shivani the SP and Shekhawat the Deputy SP. Shekhawat does not see eye to eye with Shivani and on the first given opportunity bares all before the media with little knowledge of the crime that has taken place and leads that are yet to be gauged/established. The man who replaced the vendor running a tea stall opposite the Kota Police Station and serving tea to the assembled police force is again the Monster and his lefty acts go unnoticed. Scenes are in multiples where the Monster comes in direct contact with Shivani and yet the latter fails to gauge the assault and arsenal of the perpetrator. It is only by chance that when Monster having injured himself and taking this alibi comes within the striking distance of being hit by her car is when Shivani realises that this person is none other than the famed assaulter. Here as well he gives her slip and vanishes into river. There are instances of intelligence network of the police department not up to the mark and to retrieve the missing links there is quid pro quo as Shivani is only able to get to the root of the crime against journo by getting consignment cleared of a diamond merchant languishing for long in customs department who in return spills the bean on who gave orders to carry out journo's murder. Here Her upright template comes in for questioning but given the circumstances where there are no clues she is left with little choice.

Kota is the place where the crimes of sexual onslaught play out in entirety and Monster's trademark is snatching the mobile of a person known to the victim and henceforth telling them that he is in possession of mobile of the man they knew who has met with an accident and he would give them ride to the hospice where he is recuperating. Women fell for his pranks and occasionally subjects them to his dirty acts. The script doesn't gel with the reality as Monster having enough comfort level with his sexual and physical invasions is hard for police to lay their hands on. Monster running wild till the very end is a reflection on police force as there are enough occasions when juniors take pot shots at their seniors in their absence. Reflexes by Shivani is to watch out for as she is neither weighty nor lean and in between plays her character on occasions with adorable innovation. Large number of sessions in gym would have made her fighting fit and in the end when she zeroes in on the Monster she lets her rage cross all hurdles with no brevity thrown in.

Grilled by a media guy on Kadwe Sawal (Tough Questions) programme on a news channel Shivani loses no opportunity to tell that it is men in society who need to be shown the mirror and why blame or question women when it comes to they returning home late after putting in long hours at work or taking the law and order assignment which for long has been the preserve of one gender. The men by and large can't digest the fact that a woman too can take a call on crimes taking place at various places in India and can don a cop's role with ingenuity.  Despite juniors taking umbrage at Seniors SP Shivani is divined to come to their rescue and occasionally asks them to take leave when festive occasion is on.

The movie opens with a fair taking place in the city of Kota in Rajasthan State in India and climaxing at a spot where Festival Diwali celebrations are on. The movie is little over 100 minutes and should serve as a benchmark for women police officers that patience is key to success and also motivate families across India to send their daughters to police force. Women at best would be able to serve well by functioning at Senior Level; the junior mantle would be tad different and not free from graft. As for womenfolk they are on most of the occasions upright and need to be given respect for the intelligence quotient they bring on the table.
