Incessant Rains That Lashed Delhi To Record Heatwave In Japan The Report That Came On Telly

Incessant Rains That Lashed Delhi To Record Heatwave In Japan The Report That Came On Telly

Following incessant rains I was stuck in INA subway in the city of Delhi for an hour or so with large number of  commuters passing to and fro. Incessant rains drenched a large number of people, some not timid and their movements very much supple. With nothing to do and rain droplets not leading to sighting of shrew observation was the best I could do in a city where planes even at night flew. There were middle aged men and women, there were some in their teens and beyond, there were some having visited recently Pyongyang, there were others who were dissecting issues with their smartphones and there were others carrying umbrellas having heard of US humorist Browne. The wait was endless, with thoughts on those in the city who were penniless. Though the city of Delhi provided employment to many, there were still running close to a million with no job and surroundings by no means sunny. As the rains continued there was one gentleman who found fit to get into new clothes all done in the precincts of INA Metro Station where in the '80s people had bread toast.

Visiting Public Sector Bank To Floor Test That Has No Rank

The other day visiting a public sector bank I came across an old woman whose pension had been discontinued and she begged endlessly that her pension be restored to which bank officials said life certificate has to be submitted and this effort should not have shades of botch. One wonders how many survive on pension and any intermittent delay leads pension survivors stay still and not play. Let all pension holders succeed in getting their dues, stopping their pension would give powers that be blues. We are living in a world where prices of essentials have skyrocketed and interest on fixed deposit has plummeted. Interest rate on FDs would continue to plunge as powers that be have other priorities that come in chunk. Essential commodities are out of reach of commoners and here floor test is a farce involving air travel to Gujarat, Assam and Goa confabulating in portico stoa.  When Assam was reeling under floods, confabulating in five star locale did not made these turncoats lull. Floor Test won't resolve the dilemma; it is better to dissolve the House and take relief in sauna.

Climate Change From Record Heatwave In Japan To Floods in India And Bangladesh To Sea Level Rise That Has Solid Base

Distress signals are enough with climate change unveiling issues in tonnage. As worst heatwave in Japan since 1875 and tropical depression developing in South China sea and leading to Hong Kong and Southeast Australia having coldest June night on record, these are distress signals with none of the stakeholders ready to unfurl solution plot. With India and Bangladesh witnessing recurrent floods, Assam in India in particular, the climate change is leading to trail of destruction affecting livelihood of large section. With carbon emissions showing no signs of receding are we to believe the incessant air travel and functioning of central air conditioning would lead none to babble. Sea level rise is another challenge that would lead to disruption with enough seen in places as varied as Houston. Child marriages in East Africa due to looming drought are after effects of climate change and there is an urgent need to rescue teens who are of no marriageable age.

Coming back to INA subway and metro station thoughts were on series of announcements like the first car in the moving direction is meant for women and allow passengers from train to alight first in a city where fewer and fewer individuals carry large sum in wallet and purse. Here in this city some auto men are on a short fuse, for the sake of money they can get in acts of impropriety having no intention to muse. As I came out of INA subway to take veggies and fruits from Ashoka Store, the sheets of rain had led to traffic snarl and different range of vehicles had to crawl. With Tunisia experiencing 48.7 degree centigrade and with no sheets of rain, we hope Africa gets shower in abundance letting enough individuals to mark their office attendance.
