Tourists Would Continue To Flock To Hampi In South India Which Is A Glittering Place In Asia
Having made calls to Hampi on an occasion more than one, the interaction with a gentleman was all about the weather and a place home to students flanked by innumerable tutor. This is one region which gets tourists in good numbers from South East Asia with some having liking for grape going by the name malvasia. With temperatures in the range of 36 to 38 degrees celsius it was pleasant and persistent with the belief that this belt would continue to draw travelers in drove walled by 24X7 hope. I have been to Hampi on two different occasions much moved by the thought that here residents maintain a simple lifestyle been witness to the same in 2014 September and 2018 May with no reports of any skirmish breaking out in Maharashtra's Vasai. Vasai is located in Palghar district taken out of Thane district in 2014 when standup comedy was sweet and more were keen. Standup comedy one took in stride with no ready images that highlighted abuse and fight.
Warm Hospitality Extended By Karnataka Tourism Board
As for Hampi Mr Kiran revealed that everything was good at his end and irrespective of surge in tourist flow or dwindle to the same did not get one into a trajectory of losing shine and glow. This call was followed by a call to Mr Nandu of Guruvayur who observed 10-day festival was on in the much-famed Guruvayur Temple in Kerala which plays host to rush round the year with enough cheer. Both these calls were made more than a week ago when standup comedy was fair and not lying low. These two calls roughly revealed the mindset of Indians residing in South India the narrative of they being simple and defined by individuals sporting dimple. Tourists still coming to Hampi, mostly foreigners and those who could get deterred by high temperature and they were in minority and the remaining lot was not that temperature edgy. Still foreigners from South East Asia come in good numbers and enjoying the beauty of the place and warm hospitality extended by State Tourism Board which checks proceedings rote by rote.
Hampi Is Wonder of Wonders
One would relish to be in this place at this time of the year and for one to make a forward movement one would have to reach first Bengaluru and take connecting mode of transport to reach Hospet and later Hampi where some would be familiar with AMP (Accelerated Mobile Page). There was an isolated incident of peace being given a short shrift when a lone tourist was manhandled. That case has been settled and dangerous environs that looked to stay have evaporated and good tidings have all along been paraded. Hampi is wonder of wonders and rich heritage flick that it throws up in the air is not hard to ignore and something to cherish. Two calls, two separate days to Mr Kiran of Gopi Guest House were wonderful and tales of activism began to unfurl with each and every resident of Karnataka State seeking a venture where s/he is gainfully employed least to get bothered by those taking outbound flight to places that get them occasionally hired.
Places To Be Explored In Hampi
Places to be explored in Hampi are Vitthala Temple, Achyutaraya Temple. On the way to Vitthala Temple there is Achyutaraya Temple, Mathunga Hills, Varaha (Saiva) temple popularly known as Varaha temple because of Varaha Royal Emblem at the eastern entrance. There is Hanumanthappa Tea Centre. Later one can reach Tungabhadra River. Beware of crocodiles. Vitthala Temple represent the highest watermark of Vijayanagara style of art and architecture.
On left side of Vitthala Temple from boundary wall one can spot Lord Hanuman Temple (Anjaneya Parbat). One can as well visit Virupaksha Temple. Other areas that can be visited are Sasivekalu Ganapathi, Krishna Temple and Badavi Linga.
One had the pleasure of watching Punami Garuda Seva from Tirumala on SVBC (Sri Venkateswara Bhakti Channel).
