Passing away of NDTV's Kamal Khan is a loss to nation and world
Kamal Khan was a veteran journalist. Associated with NDTV News Channel for three decades he was known for unblemished reporting. He had innocence of his known and that mirrored in the assignments he handled. Known for exemplary courage and upright reporting he was blessed with repertoire of skills which came handy on different occasions.
His reportage was in-depth and covered a wide canvas right from political minefield to social engineering. His quotes from different books and his innate skills in putting them in poetic enunciation were widely acclaimed. He never ever digressed and stuck to his honest roots. Reporting largely from Lucknow and other cities/towns of State of UP in India he could traverse wide range of subjects as and when the occasion demanded. His bipartisan attitude saw him court different political personalities/pundits and that could easily get him a response to any happening which other journos found hard to get. Be it fugitive from dictatorial regime or fence sitter he could gauge the sentiment and do reporting accordingly. Apart from Lucknow he had been tasked with the responsibility of reporting from Ayodhya that had witnessed churning each passing year and here his poetic push came in for praise from different quarters.
