Accessing SRI VAIKUNTANATHJI TEMPLE In New Delhi
Having thought about visiting SRI VAIKUNTANATHJI Temple for a month or so, I decided to access the same on a Monday with Delhi Residents impartially young and not getting grey. The visit would have brought me in close contact with people hailing from South India as this is primarily a temple with South India roots and there may not be in this region noteworthy movement of boots. So I set out on a Monday and left Home at 9.30 AM going past Safdarjung Enclave Gate Number One and sighting pot holed roads with no pomegranate powers was no fun. Go past Comfort Point, Embassy Of The Republic Of Mali and directions to Chanakyapuri and JNU (JAWAHARLAL NEHRU UNIVERSITY) having a neat tally.
Reaching Africa Avenue
Reach Africa Avenue at 9.43 and I prime witness to bumper to bumper traffic and hope the speeding guns don't turn maverick. Reach Church Road at 9.43 and in quick succession came service road of Africa Avenue where thoughts are on JNU. Go past Central Govt Employee Residence which is home to babies, women and gents. By the time I access Sri Venkateswara Mandir Marg it is 10 and in this very region at one point of time thundered Maruti Zen. Maruti Zen may have become history but Ambassador Cars on Kolkata Roads run on a sizeable territory. Almost the entire bulk of Ambassador cars run as taxis in Kolkata a city whose solid traits are recognised by Latin American nations with no degree of hesitation. There is receding pedestrian path to Munirka Desk/ Ber Sarai and by the time I enter SRI VAIKUNTANATHJI TEMPLE it is 10.15 and this sacred spot paid a visit by likes of teen. Sri Vaikuntanathji is at his prime best and my prayer session interspersed with bringing down of curtains and later lifting the same and we are in that part of India where robust attempts to rekindle ties with neighbouring nations should be more and not bare minimum with closed door. As Priests are from South India I wonder how they cope with biting cold of Delhi with temperatures plummeting to single digit and most missing their ferry.
Leaving Sri Vaikuntanathji Temple And Heading To SBI In Bhikaji Cama Place
By the time I come out of Sri Vaikuntanathji Temple it is 10.45 and reach Bhikaji Cama Place at 11.05. Directions to State Bank Of India (State Bank Of India Is Prime Public Sector Bank In India) are not hard to fathom and SBI carries high value transaction at random. Cash Officer probably going by the name Mr Vijay Kumar is kind enough to sort out my queries and he is as affable to those who have zodiac sign Aries.
Monday was the day when the walk to Sri Vaikuntanathji Temple consumed all of 45 minutes and would the GST Gen Next rate cut pass on to consumers can only be known in October and not in jest.
