These days i get repeated reminders about Udhagamandalam. I have not visited Udhagamandalam for over 16 months, consequently brought about by my visits to varied destinations in the country. Bordering Coimbatore, Udhagamandalam can be reached from Coimbatore in over three and a half hours. First one has to reach Metapalyam and from there before the bridge two roads come , one going towards Coonoor and another to Udhagamandalam via Kotagiri. The stay in Udhagamandalam and Kotagiri in 2011 was for over three weeks, split between two different visits one lasting two days and another over 18 days. In all i stayed in four different lodges.
