Farmers' Agitation: Justified And Long Lasting

Farmers' Agitation: Justified And Long Lasting

As ruling regime tries to drive a wedge between farmers union this move is highly condemnable to say the least. For more than a year measures like NRC, CAA, Triple Talaq and Farm Laws in India  have been a repeated assault on nation's fabric and made the nation as divisive as never before. The ruling regime is acting with arrogance not known to our mind at any time in Independent India. Our prayers are with agitating farmers and they get their dues as soon as possible. Farmers are not backbenchers who would take this assault via Farm Laws by ruling regime as someone who have no base to fall upon. They should not fall prey to evil designs of ruling regime and our heart goes out to these agitating farmers. The leader of the ruling regime believes he is here to govern for 100 years unmindful of the fact that coup can happen any time anywhere and he desirably so relegated to history. Collection of drivers and men with shady past outside your place who heap abuse on you now and then when you pen a thought on this evil leader has become the new normal as this leader believes in making life miserable if any act of his is opposed tooth and nail. He is on the look out for any opportunity at any given point of time where he hits you with vengeance and make your life unbearable.  The ruling dispensation doesn't understand the basic premise that farmers are here for our well being; why rob them of their resources which farmers accumulate after a hard day at work. In the first place the farmers did not ask for these Farm Laws then what prompted the right wing party to push these laws in haste with no room for negotiation.

Farmers are having a tough time in this biting cold and those activists who are espousing their cause need to be hailed. Farmers work day in and day out and their hard work brings them the requisite dividend. Why sneer at them and rob them of much-deserved dividend and make farming an enterprise in the hands of few with vested interest. How many Sikh farmers would emerge from the State of Gujarat can be counted on fingers, a non-sizeable and with no base of their own.

Farmers' agitation has been peaceful so far and we hope it continues to be in the same vein. The ruling regime would move heaven and earth to bring an element of friction among farming community and make their agitation go haywire. If that happens it would be a black day in the history of Independent India. The ruling regime's move is demeaning to say the least. The canard that ruling regime is spreading against farmers is highly shameful. It believes that this biting cold would freeze the movement of farmers and make them retire to their den. But that won't happen.

Economic slowdown and upcoming palatial complex

Economic slowdown and upcoming palatial complex

In this era of economic slowdown and virus, laying stone for a palatial complex is highly regrettable. As farmers' agitation is bound to expand and have a roll over effect, the repeal and repeal of farm laws is the way out to break the deadlock. Those who question those in power get snubbed repeatedly and it is right of every Indian to question the madness with which those in power are governing. Politics is all about dirt one can heap on others and as you are witness to stone pelting episodes does it look to be stage managed? Probably yes.

A nation can't be governed on divise agenda and right from Triple Talaq, CAA to Farm Laws, dividing the society has been the hallmark of governance. This man can't tolerate dissent and that is his hallmark. You repeatedly hear abuse from outside day after day spun around the narrative that more you question the style of governance more dirt would be heaped on you. CAA has been out and out divise and so have been farm laws meant to break the backbone of farmers and their source of assimilation of wealth and resources. Delhi borders have been sitting on a powderkeg and it is 16th day of agitation with a simple demand from farmers to repeal the farm laws. Siege would be laid at power centres and maverick it may not look as farmers demands are just and justified. In this era of economic stagnation and with virus showing no signs of abating those in power think of building palatial complex with no knowledge of for whom and for what. This upcoming palatial complex is sheer waste of resources, effort and time. Shun the lust for power and think more like a commoner.

Farmers Protest In Delhi

 Farmers Protest In Delhi

As Farmers sit in protest bordering Delhi areas the clarion call is for govt to cede ground to Farmers. The langar (community kitchen) is something to hail as it involves assimilation of resources and labour. NDTV News Channel ran a series of reports on langars organised by Delhi Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee in the recent past.

As we enter another era of Bharat Bandh (India Shutdown) hope peace prevails across different quarters and shutdown is in toto. Repeal of farm laws is the only way out and there can be no two opinion about that.

Elections In Bihar State In India: It Went Down To The Wire

Elections in Bihar State in India

As Bihar State in India prepares itself for another innings by BJP-JDU combine, strain in the ties may or may not look inevitable given the big brother attitude that may come into play. Hope the BJP-JDU combine stay fit and solid and sail through for the next five years.  As for RJD it was a case of so near yet so far. Had RJD not dispensed not-to-be-believed seats to its allies primarily Cong and contested these dispensed seats it would have been able to cobble up a majority on its own. The elections in Bihar was a thriller to say the least. It went down to the wire. Till Tuesday night it was not crystal clear who would have an upper hand with both the contesting combine running neck and neck. It was way past midnight when curtains came down on counting, the BJP-JDU combine was placed in the hot seat. Despite BJP outscoring JDU as far as seats were concerned the BJP lost no time in putting speculation to rest by asserting that the next govt would be headed by none other than Mr Nitish Kumar. The RJD put up a good fight and on its own gathered 75 seats, a remarkable feat by the young leadership. This young leadership has enough arsenal in the scheme of things and would be a challenge to the presiding regime. Mr Nitish Kumar knows pretty well how to respond to challenges as and when they come to the fore.

Right through the counting day the pendulum swung one way or the other with RJD propelled by its young leader Tejashwi Yadav all of 31 showing how close the contest was and how competitive the politics had begun to shape itself with young guns trying to displace the greying elements. Mr Nitish Kumar has a track record which would be hard to dismiss and an honest image that gells well with the electorate and yet he faced a daunting task given the LJP's determined bid to unsettle the JDU on the seats from where it was contesting. As for Tejashwi he is a force to reckon with and Nitish needs to watch out for moments when the former may try to outmanoeuvre him. With 75 seats under his belt the young gun could well be the kingmaker if not king in the years to come. Mr Nitish Kumar has provided able governance minus job creation and that was a handicap as the roller coaster ride the campaign witnessed.

With no jobs and large scale migration Bihar is one State that is in urgent need of an industrial blueprint that could accelerate its reach and momentum. Unless industries spread across wide spectrum doesn't set up base in Bihar, the job creation issue would continue to nail it down and make the regime more vulnerable. BJP leader Mr Sushil Modi too worked tirelessly during poll campaign. It was a nail biting finish, photo finish and a cliffhanger and what not with enough sermons for leaders across party lines.

As for the BJP which rose to the occasion to hold celebrations the next day in the party headquarters in New Delhi in the scheme of things its leadership though outspoken should be more benevolent.  As for AIMIM (All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen) party led by Mr Owaisi it opened its account by winning five seats in Seemanchal segment of Bihar. Making inroads in other states would be a hard task on hand; the Bihar verdict may well give an opportunity to oil its machinery to take a shot at new territories. Again NDTV news channels stood out and 14 hour non stop coverage on counting day gave enough hints why viewers trust this news channel network.

Congratulations to Mr Joe Biden and his family members for enlisting historic win in the US

Congratulations to Mr Joe Biden and his family members for enlisting historic win in the US

Big Congratulations to Mr Joe Biden for coming victorious in US Presidential Race. Legal proceedings can't overturn the verdict and this road to victory means a lot to Americans and people round the world. On the day of polling and subsequent night it looked as if his opponent had a fair chance and could take a shot to White House. Minutes turning to hours, hours turning to days and as postal ballot began to be counted Mr Joe Biden's path to victory looked more solid and transparent. Both candidates had record number of votes under their belt and the better candidate stood out.

From Pennsylvania where Joe was trailing by a huge margin on Tuesday night the counting in progress for those who had voted earlier made him make a dent in Pennsylvania as well with Michigan and Wisconsin getting him the necessary votes. At 253 and 17 short, the turn of the tide in Pennsylvania was enough to put him on winning track and a man as sober as Joe made it to White House. Perhaps there could be recounting of votes in States like Georgia where margin of victory is less than one per cent but that won't change the outcome.

Mr Biden is one who believes in taking everyone along and neither Red States nor Blue States he would commit for, he would largely commit himself to United States. He has experience in office and that would help him navigate uncertain future where twin challenges of coronavirus and a divisive nation would be a big test. Joe is determined to prove that his upcoming track record would be no easy achievement to be assailed and the opponent should not be recalcitrant to not respect the mandate. A divisive nation as ever as before, the US as a nation state looks forward to screaming and shining ties with a host of nations and Joe would be the right man at the helm. Our best wishes to Mr Biden and his family members and all across who rooted for him.

S P BALASUBRAMANYAM - WE WILL MISS YOU

S P BALASUBRAMANYAM - WE WILL MISS YOU

S P Balasubramanyam - The Man With A Golden Voice

Having sung over 16,000 songs in different Indian languages, S P Balasubramanyam's contribution to Indian film industry is hard to forget. Amidst cacophony produced by day today thunder and protests here and there we could not earlier pen a thought or two on S P Balasubramanyam whose vocal chords won laurels across the world.

ETV Telugu and ETV Andhra Pradesh channels frequently showed performances by various artists including S P Balasubramanyam or S.P.B. or Balu as he was fondly called who had a magical touch to the songs he sang. It would be appropriate to confer Bharat Ratna on S P Balasubramanyam and sooner a decision is taken the better it would be. The Indian film industry has lost its poster boy and a man who with his charm won million hearts. Besides being a playback singer he was music director, actor and film producer who worked tirelessly for Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi film industry. Balu was a multi tasker and man who would remain etched in our thoughts for long. Most of the devotional songs played in Tirumala in praise of Lord Govinda has Balu's touch and something that we can't forget.

Pranab Babu Whom We Knew

 Pranab Babu Whom We Knew

Recalling days of steadfast innings, Pranab Babu had the coveted honour of being the Chief Guest in School Function when we were in Delhi Public School (DPS) R K Puram. At that time he was part of Indira's Cabinet holding sumptuous portfolios with an eye for detail. That was early and approaching mid-80s. He shared uneasy equation with the party chief later in mid-80s almost cold shouldered for few years. He won back party chief confidence and returned to the party with unassuming intent.

First admission of the fact that we never met him in person and yet he catched eyeballs after eyeballs for his deft moves in political theatre. Finance was the arena where Pranab Babu excelled and his presentation of more than one budget saw him play to the gallery. Cutting across party lines he won support for his candidature to President's Post. In fact one news anchor of NDTV 24X7 put it as "Done Deal"in 2012 when Pranab Babu won almost entire support of parties across political spectrum and was all set to be India's President with elections a mere formality. Some of the events we could recollect was his annual sojourn to his home town in West Bengal State for Durga Pujo festivity. He did not buck this trend even after moving into Rashtrapati Bhawan (President House). It was he who coined State Actor term to describe the antecedents of Mumbai attack perpetrators in 2008. What we can recall with ease is his visit to Cambodia in January 1996 when we were posted there as India's representative. His intervention and dollop of support led to renovation/installation of a full fledged Kali Bari in Safdarjung Enclave which everyone cherished for the energy and impetus it brimmed with every Durga Pujo celebration.

Pranab Babu would be remembered for his versatility and contribution to Indian Polity and a man who brought effervescence and freshness to the varied assignments furnished to him. In fact the goals he set out to achieve were never out of reach and he pole vaulting to President's Office illustrates that. He had a buddy in every political party of India and that sums up the man and his mission. Likes of him would be hard to trace in Indian Polity and he would be remembered for centuries to come.

Reports in a section of Press which works under Duress

Reports in a section of Press which works under Duress

According to reports appearing in a section of Press which works under duress, two developments evinced keen interest this weekend. First another rain spell to lash Delhi next week with moderate to heavy rainfall forecast making to Page One blast. Second was on CWC meeting which is to take place on Monday. As far as first report is concerned Delhi and beyond are in for heavy shower which would lead to water logging at multiple places with no bar. The waterlogged streets would be something to watch out for as rains won't spare anyone and those coming under its spell would take to liquor and ring the roadside bell.

Delhi and neighbouring areas would be battered by multiple spell of showers, making it mandatory for office goers to take out their umbrella and still fish out out an excuse to skip office as roads are waterlogged and accessibility to office is entirely blocked. Office attendance would be thin and those present leaving no opportunity to cringe. Heavy spell is likely to continue till August twenty seven followed by dirt cheap sale of suiting made by Raymond. Once heavy spell subsides and people return to their offices wearing clothes that are tight, they would assume MET department would make another rain forecast giving them the alibi to skip office and stay at home and still deciding to skip the news channels Dangal and Hallabol debates which are pedestrian and with no hope. This rain and that crane would be the usual sight to watch out for and once monsoon is history, the people and nations would try to evoke a new chemistry. This spell of rain across country has led to floods and still some political parties wish to try the poll route in November not heckled by this much-maligned agenda as the worldwide virus crisis has not broken their slumber and they addicted to their poll funda.

The second development on CWC meeting on Monday generated keen interest as it is being held after long series of fisticuffs in some marooned news channels debates and a long unending session of running nose and cough. All special and permanent invitees have been told to be present for the meeting and this meet would be via video conferencing sensing the mood of the nation in places as varied as canteen. The lease for 24 Akbar Road which is party headquarters is up for renewal and this would surely come up for discussion. The lease should be renewed with no rethink and any vindictive attitude would appropriately display ruling authorities chink. This meet via video conferencing would at length discuss the political climate in the country and hope peace prevails in the train pantry which for long has been shunned to malfunctioning era miles away from New Zealand's Koura.

This CWC meet and the deliberations would become the content for debates in news channels some of which need to despised and shunned to roadside tunnels. Once the news channels pick up from their sources on what all was discussed at CWC, it would be appropriate time to widely open TV SETS and not flee. There was a time when members hailing from CWC Tribe would be treated as Kings and given the dispensation we are under in the CWC meet makes it to inside pages with no zing. That apart it would also be the time when the study on Indian tourism industry would come under scanner as appropriately showcased by newspaper report, something that doesn't make us gloat. The Indian tourism industry is in for hard times and the worldwide crisis has made it pay the long due fine.

As the worldwide crisis lingers on the stupid and not stupendous stock market still makes it to front page with occasional rally opening the marooned financial gate and watch those in attendance and their gait. As stories are picked up to scan and not cram, it is time to rethink on the cricket extravaganza in UAE where people don't openly pee and flee. UAE is known for its strengths and it is one territory that is also worldwide virus crisis tense.

Story in a National Daily on English as link language and mapping out pieces on front page on an average

Story in a National Daily on English as link language and mapping out pieces on front page on an average

As we came across a story in a prominent daily published from Delhi on English gaining strength as link language it was time to figure out stories mapped out on front page on an average. The story expanded its brief and probably looked at the prospect of two individuals arriving from the same mother tongue who would prefer to converse in English rather than their mother tongue and this essentially explained the rise of ENGLISH AS ONE. Changes in school and inter-state migration helped English to pole vault knowing fully well in the decades to come it won't halt. According to the story largely based on an institute study, the number of children studying in English almost doubled from 12 to 23 per cent between 07-08 and 17-18, waiting in the wings to treble even in areas where there would be none of the winning trophy and team. English landscaped schools are quite gung-ho over its reach and acceptability and English is well the language of future amidst a worldwide crisis that sends signs of rupture.

English we study and English we learn is different from offers that we systematically spurn. English is the language that developing countries embrace and India is no different to join the race. English is the language we employ to converse in South India; it is primarily used to pile on offers that no one can reverse. English helps us to keep up with the times we live in this worldwide crisis that has engulfed and not evaporated; English is employed to trace signs of recovery that has perennially perpetuated.

As the National Daily dropped hints on meeting between Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Angela Merkel, interlocutors would have employed English that doesn't seasonally buckle. The two leaders exchanged Namaste essentially an Indian Greeting, the picture between the two figured in National Daily Printing.

Another Story in the National Daily was on DU Admission Tests to be held from September six to eleven and probably those taking tests would figure some coming with name Michael Bevan. Those who don't take tests might lose an academic year and this is the foremost fear. How Admission Tests would be held when worldwide crisis hasn't lulled is the foremost thought in a nation caught in Ladakh boundary knot.

As we flipped through pages to find stories of those having left their cages, thoughts were trained on IPL and its losing gambit, being held in a territory with UAE permit. It is a challenge to hold over 40-day event when worldwide virus crisis hasn't receded keeping future tense and not accelerated.

Catching up with newspaper headlines amidst the worldwide crisis we are in

Catching up with newspaper headlines amidst the worldwide crisis we are in

As per directive of Delhi Govt, hotels, restaurants can serve liquor. This aim to serve liquor is meant to scale up revenue and reach out to those skilled with multitasking thanks to power avenue. This liquor would be served essentially by those who have been tutor and tweets would flow once liquor cap would go.  How much to serve and whom to serve is not known. Liquor could be served at restaurants as part of dine-in services and in hotel rooms. This move to allow restaurants to serve liquor may still require the approval of L-G (Lieutenant Governor) who nowadays is quite busy. What is on his mind is not known and whether he would give the necessary approval if at all it is required may be known in the days to come.

Once the liquor ban goes, the people would hit the dancing floors. Amidst the worldwide crisis moves are afoot to give liquor a new spin which for all practical purposes has been spurned by aficionados who amidst liquor plenty would beam. Liquor is one thing that can tilt the scales from high rise buildings to amazing speed moving flights who wish to cling on to come what may flying rights.

Another headline went like this PAN without Aadhar could be made defunct something that would be celebrated as big-ticket event. How much linking the govt of the day wants, link this with Aadhar, link that with mobile power. It is really foolish to see that kitchen gas cylinder booking has been made mandatory to be done by mobile which would send a number which one would have to quote while receiving a gas cylinder. This is out and out stupid. This linking and that blinking would make us link ourselves with mobile/smartphone which would rob us of peace of mind as if worldwide virus crisis is not enough and by no means kind.

In this worldwide crisis, the India-China border standoff shows signs of petering out amidst signals that new areas of confrontation would open up and it is better the trade ties is reduced to zero and let the national pride be the heroic hero. BIG C wants to be Monsoon Maestro and a tough stand and zero trade would be the least we could do and not necessarily berate.

The Youth Brigade in India is getting impatient with each passing day

The Youth Brigade in India is getting impatient with each passing day

The youth brigade in India is getting impatient with each passing day. They want to hang on to power by hook or crook. With prodding by right wing party this political party honcho who is in mid 40s wants to ride clean and clear. A past that is not decoratable and a future that is least clear, the youth brigade wants to take a shot at the top post with the rider that he has substantial number of legislators who are willing to cross the line. When it came to crunch not even handful of legislators could be seen by his side.

This political party honcho who has returned from sabbatical from Santiago drew support in the second week of this month from some notable absentees of a centre right political party who had drawn a blank in parliamentary polls. This honcho is desperate and desperate were his tools of engagement in the first and second week of this month aiming to run with the towel and right wing tilt. Having been sounded the success he could replicate like the Madhya Pradesh model, he fell aside when he could not garner sufficient support of legislators. The Court in the state is at fault for not letting Speaker take a decision on rebel legislators and not directing the Guv acting at the behest of Central Leadership to convene Assembly session. The person holding the Guv post is bringing disgrace to the said office and he should be directed to convene House Session at the earliest. The right wing party has least appetite for any other block/formation to reign supreme in any State and as seen on numerous occasions staged a coup of sorts. This agenda of usurping power had its share of success in some States and mistiming was the right wing party's move this time and it rightfully boomeranged on them.

As for the floods in the States of Bihar and Assam the longing for normal times is a prayer on their lips and sooner these floods recede the better it would be. In these uncertain times we get inundated by reports of a stock market out to croon, not even a handful have a wish for it rise or fall flat, these uncertain times have made us realise that this virus has had a dream run and when it would abate in not known. Even in these times political parties are resilient enough to jockey for power something that is shameful and least palatable.

P V Narasimha Rao - The Tallest Leader We Came Across In The '90s

P V Narasimha Rao - The Tallest Leader We Came Across In The '90s

We would remain ever grateful to P V Narasimha Rao for all that he did for the country. He ushered in not that pinching economic reforms in the country and presided over a regime that provided a ring of stability for five years. He was tallest leader of the '90s and one who cared two hoots about anyone who wished to bring down his assembled govt.

As the nation stands witness to P V Narasimha Rao's birth centenary celebrations starting from 28 June 2020 and running up to 28 June 2021 he is truly Telangana's Son ... India's Pride.

A leader who had in-depth knowledge of domestic permutations and combinations as well as a firm grip on what was going on in international theatre his political innings was something to cherish.

What We can recollect with pride is that The Newspaper of the South The Hindu carried extensive reports about P V Narasimha Rao's voyage to Tirumala every other month to have a glimpse of Lord Govinda.

We are fond of this leader and so are millions from Telangana to Tamil Nadu. All across world the people by and large are indebted to this leader for the services rendered. Though he is not amidst us, his inspirational dimension is truly remarkable. WE Salute you and hope you remain etched in our memory for centuries to come.

WHY SOME NEWS CHANNEL DEBATES LOOK IRKSOME

WHY SOME NEWS CHANNEL DEBATES LOOK IRKSOME

Uncertainty at border; virus unfolding with every passing quarter

Uncertainty at border; virus unfolding with every passing quarter

Uncertainty has been there for three to four months with none expressing willingness to have energy crunch. These uncertain months have also meant no tourney played involving scoring of runs. Uncertainty has ruled the roost with coronavirus getting radiating wheels to cruise. As we expect the immediate future to be equally tense, time might set in two to three months to get the conditions where virus could itself frail and not expand and turn grey. Once this virus abdicates the throne time would be ripe to freely roam. This virus has been the handiwork of Chinese men and women working in Wuhan province lab working in full knowledge of impending worldwide attention and grab. Had this crisis not originated planes would have flown in full attendance with nearly half of the passengers having in possession vehicles of the make of Mercedes Benz. These hard times have made us know to remain ever grateful to nature and not repeatedly fiddle with and create unending rupture.

As China expresses willingness to pitch tent at LAC bordering India, their forces protruding into Indian territory shows their President sitting on a chair that has been taken on a monthly rent. We don't foresee COUP in China but anything can happen if Beijing doesn't abandon its expansionist designs, exemplary notes of which have been penned in Vienna.

This virus is cruel, cruel is its beat, it hits the common man with unyielding heat. Once it becomes history, the people would celebrate this momentous occasion as if it is a worldwide victory. Meanwhile this virus hasn't let men, women to roam, planes to zoom and vehicles to loom. Congested lanes have been hit the hardest with virus remaining etched and not gathering dust. This virus travels from one continent to another unfazed and untamed not willing to yield, it is time to clip the wings with roar and fulsome zeal. Virulent in its attack and pitchforked in its endeavour, this virus would in the initial phase bloom followed by a top to toe blast and reduced to a rubber. This virus CV is something to ponder time would come when it won't hit car rental services including that of UBER. From Belarus to Brussels, from Santiago to Sussex, this virus has left its imprint, it is one crisis that would wane with enough hint. This virus is dirty and dirty are its antecedents and those who manufactured it were not esteemed lot and were short of functioning sense. A misfired trust which mankind saw it go bust, this virus would melt away in history, in the meantime it has hit those from upper to lower growth trajectory.

With the crisis that looms large and hope it dilutes with no element of farce, the companies across board need to revisit their balance sheets and exponential expenses need to turn glum and with necessary action and cleat. These high paid executives need to come out of slumber and be ready to face reality where they are paid something that is peanuts and definitely better than what goes to a plumber. Business Houses need to live in reality and face the world with rotating gravity.

Those making out a case for IPL to be staged are day dreaming as the virus hasn't abated a bit and still teaming. More would affirm IPL is a farce and so are other tourneys, those living in tony establishments have had to shed their weekly air journeys. These new tony establishments/builder flat  277 reek of narcotics, perhaps the law of the land is slow to react and get into active performing circuits. This builder gets into your terrace now and then and wreak havoc perhaps he is wonder boy of MHA and and out and out etching stories that are easy to memorise and essay. The reign of terror that he launched while raising his flat and later remains etched in our memory, he is out and out criminal with enough ministry helping and factory. The more momentary gains are extracted from builder flats and high rise building blocks would boomerang, the time is not far when they would be sharing a grub with criminal clan. The man with grey hair and moving in a vehicle of red colour and gear from the neighboring house 275 another plant of MHA makes your net connection derail and let you hear filthy abuse now and then is a criminal and time is ripe he be tagged with animal fear. We are sandwitched between rogues of 275 and 277 and as their writ run freely in the Ministry we live in fear with no growth trajectory.

As Beijing disposes what its boss proposes, the time is not far when it won't have access to even to set of roses. The nation that is India needs to shed differences and speak in one voice on threats from Beijing Toys and political parties need to be on the same page and not derail the morale of military men by unnecessary gloating/claiming over China having occupied our land and tent. China is at fault and so are its Prez and predecessors, its expansionist agenda would run out of fuel and thunder. By posing threat to Vietnam, Taiwan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Australia and a host of other nations by repeatedly sneering at them, this CHINA OF TODAY doesn't understand the basic premise that there would be another day with another battle on hand where this BIG C would stand to lose and witness shaming of clan and plan.

This crisis would blow over is the raging roar

This crisis would blow over is the raging roar

When this crisis would blow over No one has an idea. One thing is for sure, this crisis would recede into oblivion and this could well be sooner than expected and that is the foremost opinion. This coronavirus has hurt millions across world, now time has come this very virus needs to burn and turn bald. From the province in China where it originated to provinces across world where it cemented it threw life upside down with no knowledge of who would tame it and take the crown. France, Germany in particular have been able to contain this virus by a fair degree; there is equal enthusiasm over its control in New Zealand where the residents movement has been fairly free. It is assumed that in due course vaccine would come up to touch those with symptoms of hoarse throat and running fever is the opinion worldwide and if that really happens everyone would celebrate this momentous occasion with pride.

This crisis is shameful and shame is its glory, the way it hurts the common man it throws up surprise and unending list of query. Humanity has been hit hard, mankind has confronted this crisis with no bar and yet the opinion is this crisis would run out of fuel once good tidings begin to rule. Wheels of injustice were moving on with those spending millions on private jaunts amidst five star hotels/ponds;  the time has come for equality bar to be raised and those charging exorbitant school education fees/tariff/fare be gauged from an angle that is not at all praise. This virus doesn't differentiate between rich and poor, high and low, the time is ripe to give this virus a body blow. Those companies which were spending millions on their employees air/train travel and other nature of comforts would have to rethink and see to it that a major portion of that budget goes to uplift the poor and those wishing to turn pro.

Once this virus becomes history and people are on growth trajectory they would spare a thought or two on those on lower trajectory and time would be ripe when wealthless with no wish list are given an opportunity to glow. SUVs and SPVs (Special Purpose Vehicles) would be shed for good and post this virus some nations may well engage in a series of battles involving raging boots. Salaries across board in companies across forts would be slashed by 50 to 80 per cent and time would be taken out to ponder that work can still be accomplished from home frontiers with those marking office attendance be lean and not turn companies balance sheets into tears.

Wealthless with no wish list need to be taken on board, those flying to overseas to gain educational certificates and keys need to abandon their desire as India has enough educational arsenal in its backyard to fire. Spend meticulously, spend for the homeless should be the overriding goal, the time has come to be prudent and be selfless pole. Politicos holidaying overseas in the name of office accomplishments would be a thing of the past, bureaucrats milking the nation with their effervescent skills would have to rethink and turn dry honest for nation's sake. Video conferencing can well settle armpit battles, the time has come to slash compensation from entertainment industry to media pantry with ruthless skills and this mission almost looking like lethal. Those razing past us with high endeavoured vehicles would have to shed their princely charm and association and let order prevail for have nots to get a word of appreciation and applied balm.

www.mcdonline.nic.in is not working

There is a new site www.mcdonline.nic.in  for filing property tax return in Delhi. Our application number 56718 and 56831 for generating UNIQUE PROPERTY IDENTIFICATION CODE (UPIC) ID has elicited no response despite registering with SDMC over 15 days ago. Please provide us our UPIC ID as soon as possible. In these times of crisis we would like to pay property tax online instead of manual filing and people working in MCD should address the citizen of Delhi grievance. Please help us to get the system up and running as online payment of property tax via debit card/ credit card/VISA/ net banking would be appreciated.

Lockdown should be lock, stock, and barrel

Lockdown should be lock, stock, and barrel

Lockdown should be enforced with no aberration of sorts. The choice between life and livelihood can be settled much later as lives are precious and there be no mistaking of the fact that coronavirus is making repeated attempt to set its base. Be it any zone in India lockdown should be enforced with no exceptions. Precisely due to lockdown there have been more than marginal dip in cases and if this trajectory is to be maintained lockdown has to be there lock, stock, and barrel. We shudder to think of the scenario where in the absence of lockdown what would we have been faced with.

Proponents of livelihood don't understand the basic premise that this virus and its virulent nature is in tandem with the desire to give humanity innumerable beating and to prevent it from doing so we need to follow a discipline where human to human contact is minimal and therefore lockdown is in force without giving any leeway for this virus upsurge.

Businesses would have taken a hit, job losses may have surged but these are aberrations which can be set straight had we been living in normal times. The reading of the times we are in suggest though we are in conundrum we have to give preference to lives over livelihood and a complete lockdown with no relaxation is the way out. The decision to let open shops and establishments in the neighbourhood is akin to a mandate where the ruling class/modern czar is not up with the times and such illogical moves can only invite catastrophe and nothing else. Businesses right from top to bottom can wait, jobs can grunt and be not look great and it is prime task to see this virus recedes into oblivion and is not handed on a platter an invitation by diluting lockdown and other such acts. For humanity sake let lockdown be there and there be no tinkering with the same.

The coronavirus is the biggest challenge that humanity is facing since the evolution of mankind

It is high time the spread of coronavirus is stopped and clinical trials for vaccine show encouraging  results

The coronavirus is the biggest challenge that humanity is facing since the evolution of mankind. The process of enforcing lockdown may have helped in containing the spread of this virus by some degree.

Karuna Shankar Uncle Whom We Knew

Karuna Shankar Uncle Whom We Knew

It was in the latter half of '70s that we visited Dumka where Karuna Shankar Uncle was posted. Belonging to Indian Forest Service Cadre he had no pretensions whatsoever and made sure whichever guest arrived at his place of stay he or she was occasionally dripped with comforts of innocence and a conversation that was far from being haughty. Having served in Indian Forest Service for over 30 years his record was impeccable and his credentials that most cherish to gain. He had three daughters going by the name Baby, Minky and Chinky. When his third daughter was born he sent us a letter at our Safdarjung Enclave residence on the child that had arrived and the threesome who all belonged to the same gender. He shared New Year Day with us in Delhi and occasionally frequented the capital of the country for office work.

We have fond memories of going with Uncle, Auntie Maithili and three children to the State of Rajasthan in December '85 where we longed to stay for long and Surana the pointsman made us feel at home. We visited Jaipur, Ajmer, Udaipur and other parts of Rajasthan and the visit was memorable for more than one reason. Here we were visiting Khwaja's Dargah for the first time. The awesome food we had and the places we visited including the all encompassing Forts and undiluted enthusiasm extended by Surana who was HT representative in Rajasthan made our stay pleasurable by miles to say the least. We have faint memories of return ride by train from Jaipur to Delhi the ride that made us speak on issues anything under the sun. We visited Patna in May '87 to attend to Baby's marriage and here as well the arrangements were neat and tidy to the last mile. When all the three daughters settled down, Uncle and Auntie made it a point to visit their places on occasions more than once a year. Karuna Uncle cherished visiting new places of wonder high on tourism appeal and he would make it a point to call us to make us know about his whereabouts.

Karuna Uncle served as Chief Conservator of Forest in Bihar and prior to that he was Director Zoological Park Patna when we paid a visit and spent considerable time there. The different ranks he was in he did his best to bring ounces of assimilation and pride. He would be fondly remembered for the services he rendered and unity chip that he ushered in the family. Not to be left out and to be relished for long most prominently are the childhood days spent in Sultanganj in Bhagalpur District in Bihar. Cementing ties with the trio, the three brothers of Uncle and sharing a chemistry with them would be remembered and the occasional banter on Sultanganj days would remain etched in our memories for long.

Journey Through Divided Delhi on NDTV

Journey Through Divided Delhi on NDTV

As i watched Journey Through Divided Delhi on NDTV it was all about Delhi Riots that gripped parts of Delhi with law and order machinery in a state of distress as ever. Delhi was home to riots of unimaginable scale, something not seen in the past three decades. Houses were set on fire, the people were run over and their belongings stolen with cops looking the other way round. This episode of reality check with hosts Mr Sreenivasan Jain and Ms Maria doing all they could do to bring across the message that in these uncertain times harmony should be the topmost priority. They had a fair share of interactions with aggrieved family members who had no place to live, none to share their stories of apathy and ignorance of Delhi cops and living in tents was all they had to content with. Their houses ravaged, their belongings ransacked and minute after minute threats emanating from one community to not return to their place of work/residence were enough telltale blush of horrifying times we are in. There was a tete-a-tete  with Mr Gupta who was a landlord of one politico who had made hate speech.

This episode of reality check was something to watch out for as it tried to trace the antecedents of rioters who largely were goons running wild, loads of them from outside Delhi.

As India's Parliament is set to debate Delhi Riots it should try to fix the responsibility for this set of ruckus witnessed on Delhi streets primarily the lackadaisical attitude shown by authorities who were not prompt enough to respond to distress calls. Members cutting across party lines should speak with no fear or favour as the fault lies at the doorsteps of govt enmeshed with law and order machinery.

Congratulations to NDTV's Ms Nidhi Razdan for winning IPI (International Press Institute) award. Quite appropriately observed that these are testing times for media in India as any story that is conveyed with a determined will and sincerity is seen as an act of anti national. Who is anti national and who is prominent professional only times will tell.

The sooner the coronavirus is contained the better it would be for humanity

The sooner the coronavirus is contained the better it would be for humanity

As i visited South Extension i could spot men, women draped with masks a reality in uncertain times we live in. We were least concerned about outbreak of coronavirus in China as long as cases did not began to get reported in India. Once people/persons tested positive in India scary were our thoughts coupled with an urgency that we remain miles and miles away from this virus. We are in a dilemma across world where even brief symptoms of the same can make us scary of this dreadful dent.

Avoiding public places and public gathering could be one way of not contracting this dreadful dent is what we could gather from newspapers and tv channels reports. That effectively means a Big No to Air and Train travel, travelling by public transport on a minimal scale and keeping human to human contact too minimal. This dreadful dent has to shed its nasty designs and be a history is the prayer on our lips as we as a nation and very much part of universal fusillade crave for an environment that is crona free and none sporting any symptoms of it by any degree.

In one of the Chinese provinces this dreadful dent originated and with travel schedule looking mandatory it passed on to humans in the universal space we are in. Cases of corona being reported were mammoth in China with the ready awareness that one could get fully recovered if precautions were in place. In China the number of cases reported each day has dropped but still it is abysmally high and it is other nations where people have travelled from China and adjoining enclaves that have reported a spike.

Each individual on earth has to put in a prayer morning and evening that this dreadful dent is contained in totality and its spread halted by innumerable insights that we come across. Keeping sanitiser in hand could be one way to not contract it, but how far can be awareness about the same in urban jungles and rural hinterland. It hasn't had an outbreak in rural space in our country and other places and that is comforting enough to make us look less scared. Measures are put into effect where its spread is stopped till the last drop and people are free to log in miles at will. When we would have the fortune to avail this opportunity is not known, what is known is that once temperatures spike and summers set in, this dreadful dent could well be in its last lap receding in all variants. We get too concerned about stock markets and the mayhem that has visited them not knowing that should not be the underlying goal, these very amateurish markets may fall and rise loaded by the fundamentals in the economy and how robust they look. At the moment the thoughts and prayers should be on this dreadful dent and how it is not given an opportunity to hit the humanity hard and we escape this nature's wrath and remain unscratched.

Visiting Lord Jaipali Temple (Lord Hanuman Temple) near Tirumala

Visiting Lord Jaipali Temple (Lord Hanuman Temple) near Tirumala

I would remain ever grateful to Mr Kumar, Mr Naveen, Mr Shekhar and Mr Suresh of Friends Tea Stall in Tirupati for dishing out black tea. Mr Pasha of Sai Hotel opposite Friends Tea Stall was kind enough to dish out black tea one particular day. I would remain grateful to Ms Naveena, Mr Karunakaran, Mr Prabhakaran and Mr Subramaniam of Vikram Hotel Tirupati for providing me the best food in town. As Tirumala pilgrimage was completed with sighting of Lord Venkateswara on more than one occasion it was time to look for flights that would take me to the city of New Delhi. I visited Alpha Tours and Travels office and I came across Mr Dileep. The air tickets from Tirupati to New Delhi were sky rocketing high and Mr Dileep suggested i better try Chennai-Delhi Route.

The Vistara flight to Delhi had a pricey ticket range and i did not have any other option on hand. A pricey ticket with pricey take i settled for that hoping against hope that flight would leave me with reminders that would float. Mr Dileep came across as a thorough gentleman with no airs. On a Thursday i left the bed a little after 3.30 am and with thoughts abandoned of having another darshan ticket as i already had a flight ticket in hand i settled for black tea from Friends Tea Stall. Much before 6 i boarded a bus to Tirumala. On the way i came across a woman conductor who expressed her helplessness in giving change. The very fact that Woman Conductor was on duty much before six in the morning suggested Tirupati as a city was much safer for women against some other cities of India that had a bad repute with abuse and annihilation as rampant as ever. It is collective effort of cops and govt managers that make it a point to ensure collection of men outside your place/residence who file in and file out with repeated thundering of abuse so as to please the political bosses. Hope tranquil sentiments prevail in Tirupati and beyond.

Having reached Tirumala around 6.30 or so i waited for a vehicle that would take me to Lord Jaipali Temple (Lord Hanuman Temple) near Tirumala. In came Mr Hari with jeep number 1641 and we were on way to Jaipali. The point where you deboard the jeep and walk to Lord Jaipali Temple doesn't call for much acumen. There are in all 200 steps to be negotiated not steep by any thread of imagination. Much before 7 i was in Jaipali with thoughts essayed in a different diary and left the place a little before 8 am. Having reached Rambagicha Bus Stand i visited the outer precincts of Lord Venkateswara Temple which was roughly the outer gates of Lord Venkateswara Temple. The prayer on the lips was i get more opportunities to visit Tirumala with the comfort of gaining pious darshan. Later i settled for bus ride for Tirupati from Tirumala. Around 11 i had South Indian meals from Vikram Hotel with the staff as diligent as ever. I vacated the room in Charan Residency around 12 pm having come across Mr Murali of S V Fancy Store opposite Charan Residency who kept best bunch of bananas. I would remain ever grateful to Mr Murali. I was in Tirupati bus station much before 12.30 and here i came across Hotel Saravanan, Hotel New Woodlands, New Sri Sangeetha Bhavan. Next to Sri Sangeetha Bhavan was Advanced Reservation Centre. There was a non AC bus to Chennai via Puthur, Nagari, Thiruthani, Thiruvallur and Poonamalli. There was another bus going to Tindivaram. I could sight Sri Vasavi cloak room. Between Tirupati and Tirumala i sighted two white Ambassador cars with the numbers AP 03 C 5589 and AP 03 Y 9293. The bus for Chennai left at 1.20 pm from Tirupati Bus Station.

The sighting of Lord Venkateswara was something to cherish and hope that people of different faiths visit Lord Venkateswara Temple time and again with the prayer that social equations among different communities  remain rock solid as ever and we live in times where there is no challenge to the very existence of mankind from any virus whatsoever. Hate speeches made in public have to be nipped in the bud and those making the same should be held accountable and dissuaded from doing so. You had a judge in the line of fire in Delhi Court who took umbrage to these Hate Speeches.

Our Best Wishes Would Always Be With Tirumala

Joining the Queue at Srinivasam Complex to gain access to the ticket for Lord Venkateswara Darshan

Joining the Queue at Srinivasam Complex to gain access to the ticket for Lord Venkateswara Darshan

Having joined the queue a little after 4 am in Srinivasam Complex for Darshan ticket i came across different sets of people. There was a group from Maharashtra with whom i discussed about my pilgrimage to Srisailam. They told me about different sets of temples in their Maharshtra State starting with two Lord Shiva Jyotirlinga, Baidyanath in Aurangabad and Bhimashankar near Mancher near Pune. Other temple was Mangi tungi in Nashik where the idol is 108 feet long in one piece.  I told them i had been to TTD Temple of Lord Venkateswara near Pune in Narayanpur.

When the counter opened i was able to get Darshan ticket for 12 pm. I made it doubly sure that if i come the next day i would be able to get Darshan ticket once again. Having collected ticket i had idli, vada and masala dosa from Sarvana Bhavan in Tirupati near Tirupati bus station. A little after 11 am i left for Tirumala by bus. With Darshan ticket in hand the entry to the temple was swift and having made note in my diary i was in sanctum sanctorum in record time. I was able to sight Lord Venkatewara with no pushing and shoving around.

As for footpath pilgrims the TTD should see to it that there are no long, winding route for entry to different compartments and there should be fewer hassles for footpath pilgrims as they have made an extra effort to walk from Alipiri Gate to Tirumala. The long, winding route to different compartments should be done away with for footpath pilgrims with immediate effect and TTD should make effort to see footpath pilgrims are at ease. With Darshan ticket i joined the queue at 1.40 and i was in sanctum sanctorum by 2.15 pm. Having sighted Lord Venkateswara i collected small laddu as prasadam and came out of the temple. I left Tirumala by bus and i was in Tirupati around 4.30 pm. These two days were special for me as i was blessed to view Lord Venkateswara with ease. Lord Venkateswara has been kind to all of us and his blessings are very much in order to let positive vibes circulate everywhere. I hope i keep getting opportunities for a long time to visit Tirumala time and again. I am fond of Tirumala and i am fond of walking from Alipiri Gate to Tirumala.

Walking From Alipiri Gate To Tirumala On Foot On A Tuesday; Sighting Lord Venkateswara

Walking From Alipiri Gate To Tirumala On Foot On A Tuesday: Sighting Lord Venkateswara

Having taken dinner from Hotel Vikram on a Monday i went for black tea from Friends Tea Stall. On Tuesday i got up a little after 4 am and headed to Friends Tea Stall to have three sets of black tea. By six in the morning i left by auto for Alipiri Gate. The auto was mentored by Mr O K Raju. After penning thoughts in the prayer diary i started walking from Alipiri Gate from 6.30. By 7 i was able to cover 1600 steps, by 7.10 1900 steps were negotiated. I reached Gopuram at 7.15 and the darshan time on my token was given 4 pm. I was at Lord Hanuman Idol a little after 7.40. By 8 am 2700 steps had been covered and i reached Tirumala at 9.10 having in all covered 3550 steps. The point to be noted there are different range of vendors on either side of footpath and they are ever ready to dispense food items that you would relish.  I reached the outside gate of the temple and later left by bus for Tirupati. I was in Tirupati a little after 10.30 am.

By 12 pm i took another ride by bus from Tirupati to Tirumala. Having reached Tirumala around 1 i headed straight to the footpath gate and the amount of walking that one has to do from Vaikuntam Queue Complex is inexplicable. Earlier there was direct entry for footpath pilgrims and now one has to walk for almost half an hour to 40 minutes. I was in compartment number 33 by 2 pm. Having penned thoughts once again i waited for gates to open. The new addition in these compartments are sets of screen that have SVBC Channel beamed. Here the gates were opened after 5.30 pm and i was in sanctum sanctorum by 6.35 pm. With so much of pushing and shoving around one gets little chance to sight Lord Venkateswara. Despite pushing and shoving around i was able to sight Lord Venkateswara one more time. And i would remain ever grateful to the Lord for giving me the opportunity to have a fleeting glimpse one more time. The second sighting of Lord Venkateswara was something i would cherish for a long time. Lord Venkateswara has been very kind to me and to all the devotees who visit Tirumala.  Soon after i headed to the exit gate to collect Laddus. Later i went to Matrusri Tarigonda Vengamamba Anna Prasada Centre and took food. The volunteers/ staff at Matrusri Tarigonda Vengamamba Anna Prasada Centre was kind enough to keep my prayer diary while i was having food.

I took bus from Rambagicha bus stand and reached Tirupati  a little before 9 pm. A little before 9.30 i was at Friends Tea Stall and took black Tea. At Friends Tea Stall the staff went by the name Mr Naveen, Mr Kumar, Mr Shekhar and Mr Suresh and they were ever ready to dish out black tea. On Wednesday i got up around 3.30 am and took black tea from Friends Tea Stall. Later i joined the queue for 300 rs ticket. The counter opened at eight and the darshan time given on my token was 12 pm.

Leaving For Jubilee Bus Station To Reach Hyderabad Airport; Reaching Tirupati

Leaving For Jubilee Bus Station To Reach Hyderabad Airport; Reaching Tirupati

The day i am supposed to leave for Tirupati i leave the bed a little before 4.45 am. I head to A R Mess point to have two to three sets of black Tea. Later i visit Lord Ganesh Temple for a short duration and vacate the room. Hotel Swathi manager Mr Srinivas is helpful and so are Mr Anil Kumar and Mr Mukesh. I have two sets of idli before heading to airport. The ride from Secundarabad to Jubilee Bus Station (JBS) is in an auto mentored by automan Mr Vudtyavath Nanu.

The plush bus from JBS to Hyderabad Airport has Mr Kumar at the wheels. The bus leaves at 7.17, going past Boorugu Complex. There are spate of metro stations including Begumpet. Follow lane discipline is on the Display Board. There are spate of flyovers, going past Vaishnavi Arcade, Salwa multicuisine restaurant and Agra sweets Banjara. There is hoarding that went like this
Hyderabad Drive
Investment Plot 2020

There is an ad of Whistle blower Mr Shahbaz Ahmad Khan. Fight illegalities. Perhaps the time has come for more whistle blowers to come out in the open. Going past Junaid's tutorials. At 7.47 we are on the longest flyover which is P V Narasimha Rao flyover. P V Narasimha Rao was India's Prime Minister at one point of time much credited for ushering in economic reforms. He was one of the best Prime Minsters that India had. There is an ad of Ramco Supercrete. Going past South Indian shopping mall. The flyover gets over at 8.01 am. Going past Sree Vidya Model School. There is hoarding Own The Real Gold TMR.
We are in Airport at 8.22.

Footpath route from Srivari Mettu to Tirumala that is a shorter route which i am told

Meet Mr Kamal Saika from Assam. Mr A S Reddy  of CISF looks at the ticket. The server is down and there are long winding queues at different counters of Air India. That gives me a chance to meet Mr Venkateshawara Rao who has spent 25 years in Delhi and now settled in Hyderabad. I broach the subjects of Srisailam and Tirumala, having visited Srisailam and planning to visit Tirumala. I tell him i would be walking from Alipiri Gate to Tirumala.
Meet Mr Saifuddin with whom i discuss Bhindi Bazar in Mumbai. He shows me a HT (Hindustan Times) report according to which 550 families have shifted to two newly built towers in Bhindi Bazar. Mr Saifuddin is going to Coimbatore. Air India Flight AI 542 is delayed. Captain Ms Sapna Patel is at the helm and that is the best part of the journey, safe and secured in the hands of a woman. One crew member who is a woman is from Manipur. I am seated next to Ms Aaradhya who is in class 2 and Ms Charvi who is in Standard 7. Settled in Hyderabad they go by share auto to school. Meet Mr Prasad settled in Tirupati. Mr Prasad discloses that now there is a shorter footpath route from Srivari Mettu to Tirumala which roughly takes one hour. That route would come handy for old people who wish to climb to Tirumala Hills by foot. And it would be equally handy for those who would turn old in the decades to come.

The flight takes off at 1.15 and lands in Tirupati which actually is in Renigunta at 2.01 pm. We are thankful to the people concerned who have made arrangement for buses to ply between Tirupati Airport to Tirupati as well as Tirumala. The bus leaves airport at 2.35, going past Renigunta railway station and reaches Tirupati at 3.05. I deboard here. The man at the wheels is Mr Anand and he is honest and very helpful. I  check in Charan Residency where proprietor Mr V Venkatesh is at the desk. He is thrilled to have me as his guest. The cyber cafe from where i do story is opposite Hotel Vikram and it comes handy with the staff very helpful. Around 7 pm i have my dinner from Hotel Vikram where Ms Naveena, Mr Subramaniam, Mr Karunakaran and Mr Prabhakaran took extra care to see i was comfortable. The food on the table is something to cherish. All my thoughts are on walking from Alipiri Gate to Tirumala on foot on a Tuesday.

We Crave For Peace In Delhi As Hate Speeches Were Made By Those Raised On Empty Belly

We Crave For Peace In Delhi As Hate Speeches Were Made By Those Raised On Empty Belly

We crave for peace in Delhi and beyond as we assume in this city nothing can go wrong. The havoc that perpetrators wreaked across parts of Delhi was much to do with their divise agenda and essentially raised on empty belly. Hate speeches have been in air since December 2019 and in the run up to Delhi polls these four leaders of right wing party turned menacingly notorious and were out and out petty. They repeatedly made hate speeches directing their ire against those protesting against CAA and this peaceful protest did not go down well with them who didn't even possess a simple degree called BA. Their hate speeches played out in Court and Court Giving Directions To Cops to act swiftly against them irrespective of the party they belonged to and visible thoughts on instigating people that was the clue. The incendiary elements are to be blamed for rioters running wild and untamed in a city that is largely a melting pot of people with different religious standings and ironclad secular fame.

Given these hate speeches coupled with cops decision to slowly react the miscreants took out their anger on public property not realising this was caught on camera and their act dismissed as haughty. The miscreants didn't give two hoots and carried their mischief that amply demonstrated their unemployment minus career booth. As long as unemployment would rage, such acts would take the slice of craze. Any political outfit patronising these miscreants should be condemned by one and all, this is the very nation that sees daily street brawl. Running on short fuse and a temperament that is coated in abuse, the violence shown on channels across territories is an open invitation for miscreants to recharge their battery. With miscreants not gainfully employed and millions spent by govt of the day and night marking the arrival of guest the mischief by miscreants went hand in hand while we welcomed the dignitary From The West. No Major Strides were reported from the dignitary's visit who had all to say about radical Islamic terrorism that had to be rooted out and for which none could  wait. There were extensive reportage on Dignitary's Visit sharing space with extensive coverage of Delhi riots which had seen innumerable shots being fired. Once normalcy returns to the proceedings  and a political template is devoid of hate banter and beating, the city would discover the magical wonder that keeps most beaming.

Mr Saifuddin is going to Coimbatore. Air India Flight AI 542 is delayed. Captain Ms Sapna Patel is at the helm and that is the best part of the journey, safe and secured in the hands of a woman. This two-day halt in India by a dignitary who could well visit an eatery to reset his pantry

This two-day halt in India by a dignitary who could well visit an eatery to reset his pantry

This two-day visit is a break from work and the dignitary has a long list of demand including meeting a Turk. There would be complete lock down of cities and towns where the dignitary wishes to travel, accompanying him would be group of people who would unarguably babble. This visit enlists least interest as the gathering of seven to 10 million people to greet him by and large wants to take the much-needed rest. How can a cricket stadium or the route from airport to stadium see a convergence of 10 million who have aspirations which run into zillion. Be it seven million or 10 million missing in action would be cricketer named Bevan.

This visit comes from a dignitary of a nation whose growth figures hinge on output by varied sectors and ever-expanding spa centres. This visit comes amidst protests in the host nation over CAA something that includes protesters in possession of a degree necessarily called B.A. This gathering of seven to 10 million is a tall order in a nation having Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan sharing border. This purported figure of 10 million looks like day dreaming as the said gathering would be in no mood to shelve work and be beaming. This 10 million would come on foot or be transported by buses which are brute is not known, what is known people would well come from far away places including Wellington and Rome.

As the said dignitary would take breakfast, lunch and dinner, the thoughts would be on the one who would be November 2020 polls winner. The winner name is all but declared, it could well be a person sporting or not sporting beard something that has been reared. The visit is all about optics and the manner in which the dignitary ducks the opponents tendency to corner him and their tactics. As news channels across India would chase this two day halt in India by going overboard, an act of perfunctory courtesy wearing winter coat. News Channels would be well advised to focus on issues halting India a nation that seeks to ever built ties with Croatia. The news channels would dig deep into what the dignitary ate and with whom he sat, noting every signal that emanated from a man who has unfettered access to let run his writ with no sighting of rat. From here he would be going to Germany, a nation where every individual cares for each penny. The coming into effect of an accord with Taliban would be historical, 29th is the day of this month when fine prints of the said accord would unravel.  We hope for peace in Afghanistan and across world; the positive vibes should not be in a state of lull.

As the visit would wind up and people associated with it would retire for the day, this visit would be remembered for the high moments and high tea shared in a nation which occasionally sees protests fizzling out and pared. Post this visit, the intelligentsia would hope another visit involving tall order the nation plays host to with much anticipated on table the coffee brew. Post this visit and post snooping gadget, the doors would be well open for world leaders to converge, does anyone have an idea when India would host G 20 feast with no sentiments of purge.

THE RIDE TO SRISAILAM; VISITING MALLIKARJUNA SWAMY TEMPLE IN SRISAILAM IN FEBRUARY

THE RIDE TO SRISAILAM; VISITING MALLIKARJUNA SWAMY TEMPLE IN SRISAILAM

The bus for Srisailam left Hyderabad Bus Station at 10.30 am. The bus number is  TS 15Z 0128. Packed to capacity with no seat to spare the bus was driven with all alertness. Amangal comes at 12.10 pm and Medigadda at 12.15. At 12.27 Srisailam is shown to be 133 km away. At 1 pm Tummalapally comes, at 1.07 we are in Konetipuram Toll Plaza followed by Dindi at 1.15. Hajipur comes at 1.55 (this Hajipur is different from much-famed Hajipur of Bihar). At 2.05 we are greeted with Welcome to Amrabad Tiger Reserve. At 3.15 Srisailam is 35 km away.

On the way to Srisailam there are different sign boards like  Rejoice In The Lord's Presence, Service To The Mankind Is Service To The Lord. At 4.35 we are in Srisailam. One automan comes and makes enquiries about number of persons who would like to take accommodation. On getting to know that there is sole person he says it would be pretty difficult to get a room. Automan Shyam comes to my rescue and takes me to Kurni Nithya Annadhana Sathram which is a bit far from the bus station. Mr Gopal is at the desk and makes entry and wishes to know the time i would be staying in Kurni Sadan. Later i take fried rice from Hotel Apoorva opposite to which is Hotel Murugan which came handy on more than one occasion. I take black tea from Hotel Murugan.

In the evening i visit SRI MALLIKARJUNA SWAMY temple. Once inside the compartment the darshan time is shown to be 8.30 pm. Once inside the sanctum sanctorum in no time we get to sight  Lord Mallikarjuna Swamy with ease. There is no pushing and shoving around. Later i visit SRI BHRAMARAMBA DEVI Temple. Grandiose are the temples and pompous are the surroundings. The clean template makes it more wonderful and fabulous.  I hail an auto and return to my room. Next morning i take tea from Hotel Murugan and leave for temple after 6 am. After making notings in my prayer diary i am in sanctum sanctorum in record time and come out out of temple sooner than expected. I purchase Laddoos which are similar in taste to Tirumala Laddoos. Each comes for Rs 15.

Just before 12 pm i settle for plate meals from Hotel Apoorva which is a bit heavy on my stomach. In the evening i take a stroll near the temple and retire to my room. The entire night is spent tossing on the bed and with the sleep elusive i for one try to search an auto at 3 in the morning which could well take me to any tea centre. Around 5 i hail an auto and visit a tea centre next to Sholapur Dharamshala. The tea dispensed is great. Around six in the morning i am in one of the compartments and we have to wait for almost  four hours. The gates to the temple are shut and they open a little before 10.30 am. Having sighted Mallikarjuna Swamy with ease i return to Kurni Sadan and vacate the room. I settle for two sets of Idly from Hotel Murugan and begin the search for bus that would take me to Hyderabad. Idly in particular from Hotel Murugan is something to relish.
I would remain ever grateful to Hotel Murugan and its staff for the services rendered. Mr Srinivas Reddy in particular was very helpful.

In Hotel Murugan the Hyderabadi chai adda has servings like idly, dosa, wada, tea, coffee, ice tea, french fries among others. In Sholapur Dharamshala there is Mr Patil who is ever ready to dispense room even to single person. Near Hotel Murugan Sri Uma Ramalingeshwara Devanga Satram the woman at the desk gives the contact number and there is a rider here that rooms would be spared to those who come in group and notings to that effect is pasted in Telugu language.

The Stay in Srisailam is for three days and the clean surroundings and wide roads to Kurni Sadan is something to cherish. They make extra effort to keep the surroundings near the temple as clean as possible. There are notings in the temple premises on the upcoming Shivratri Festival and programmes to that effect. There is ATM Mobile Van of Andhra Grameen bank and that comes handy. There are slew of ATMs near the bus station. Again my best wishes to Mr Srinivas Reddy and staff of Hotel Murugan. Besides Shyam the automan there was Mr Uday another automan who provided his services.

Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple is Huge and the Magnanimous Staff makes the temple more appealing. Three Cheers to SRI MALLIKARJUNA SWAMY TEMPLE.

Steadfat on CAA, it is time to give dictation to your PA

Steadfat on CAA, it is time to give dictation to your PA

As the govt of the day and night is steadfast on CAA it is time to give dictation to your PA (Personal Assistant). CAA is all bunkum and sooner it is nipped in the bud the better would be the time to serve the cow milk converted curd. The govt's pompous plan to let CAA play out in open is faulty; it is time to clip its wings so that it doesn't have unabashed sortie. Members-turned-politicos cutting across party lines are opposed to CAA, it is time those flaunting CAA Muscles at least acquire a degree necessarily called B.A.(Bachelor in Arts).

A  B.A. minus politico is a politico reaping hatred a B.A. minus politico time and again blows whistle and delivers CAA rhetoric. Those piloting CAA are groping in the dark, days are not far when CAA would stop in its tracks and stop delivery bark. CAA sums up the sentiment of hatred and vitriol as it spews venom across layers of humanity that includes legendary cricketer like Bevan. CAA would rip the country apart, it is time to take a dip an exercise that is no less than a fulsome bath. Politicos would come and go, those sticking by CAA would get the lethal blow. CAA sauce and CAA boss are one and the same, it is time politicos whose car is parked in porticos stop espousing its cause. CAA brinkmanship would lend you one political blow after another even if you wear a jacket necessarily made from leather.

As for the frisking, why doesn't a politico get frisked at the airport when a layman gets ready invitation to swear by frisk float. You remove your belt, jacket, shoes to get frisked in Chennai not sparing even the coot, they the frisking men have a foresight which is out and out brute. Days are not far when those abstained from frisking would pose a danger and this could well be a case of those in tacit understanding with Pak Ranger. Days are not far when common man availing frisking hammer would rise in revolt given the discriminatory nature of frisking rule and tool that doesn't spare even Athlete Usain Bolt.

Visiting Lord Ganesh Temple in Secundarabad

After taking Bombay Meals from Padmaja restaurant i returned to my room. Early next morning i took tea from A R Mess Point. Here mornings begin early. The A R Mess Point opens up by 4.30 am or before that. Visited the famed Lord Ganesh Temple in Secundarabad. Returning to Padmaja i vacated the room and took two sets of Idly from the restaurant.

It is Raju bhaiya the automan who drops me at Jubilee Bus Station (JBS). I  can't  find bus for Sirsailam. If you visit the bus site there are buses every hour to Srisailam from JBS.  I am told i would get bus from Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station (MGBS) in Hyderabad. Take auto mentored by Mr Nagesh to MGBS. He informs me that the metro inauguration is today for metro to run between JBS and MGBS. At MGBS meet Nikhil going to Srisailam.

From MGBS there are buses going to AlchampetKalwakurthyMahbubnagarWanaparthyNarayananpetHubliYadagiriguttaWarangalGuntur among other places.
The aforementioned bus come at 10.14 am. Inside bus there is an ad on Venkateshwara shopping mall. ZaheerabadBidar
The bus leaves at 10.30 am. Mr Vijay swamy is bus driver and he is very alert. Even the bus conductor is cheerful.

Polling in the City of Delhi where you meet person with the name Kelly

Polling in the City of Delhi where you meet person with the name Kelly

In the city of Delhi as votes were cast and results were out, the party thriving on work accomplished and gender parity restored came out with flying colours, winning 62 seats in a contest of nearly 70 occasional heats. The CM took oath pledging to work for all, work morning to night toll, promising to reach out to each of 20 million residents of Delhi which has a road named Hailey. The campaign was bitter with the biting cold making people turn to sweater. The campaign done and dusted, the votes by no means glum and very much gusted, the results out and feted, the celebrations were mute as those who were voted to power were cute.

With govt schools far away from turning stale, the Medical Centres (Mohalla Clinics) up and running, the piped water supply not a tale of cunning, enough had been done to make Delhi take a stroll and there were less number of people who were eager to engage in a brawl. You vote or not vote for me i will work for you was the banter the CM carried on in a city where people occasionally get wise and witty. As i was out of Delhi on the day the voting took place, Srisailam was the place i was in where there was no race. More has to be done to bring Delhi at par with resonating cities round the world, more surety of success needs to given to tourists who come from other nations and have a foresight that is not blurred. In the days to come and months to not cringe more international tourists would be arriving in the city of Delhi and have sumptuous meals to fill their belly.

With the caveat thrown in the law and order machinery would continue to be at the disposal of Centre, the ruckus in varsities like JNU and Jamia where none were spared irrespective of gender. It is high time the people in the city take to public transport, the repeated usage of personal transport is out and out crude. Here in this city millions are spent on marriages and other such carnivals not knowing this very money could be used to raise medical infrastructure that is not necessarily private driven and by no means cool. Mohalla Clinics need to be upgraded and become strong a city swelling with healthy people who are no less than King Kong.

As the mandate is for five years to rule and not rile, the cooperation extended by Centre would be cherished and a city that espouses the cause of all communities would be welcome with none sporting the expression of glum. More milestones are to be chased and a robust medical infrastructure would be praised. We extend good wishes to those who won and those who bited the dust, never in the history of India the chronological antecedents of divise politics has people turn on and become a riveting craze.

As one goes out of Delhi, one has to watch out for his/her stomach and money tally, the intake of food should be pure and fun and water gulped should not necessarily be a dose of rum. As flight tickets were booked, the different bus rides collated, the stay in South India was all about polite demeanor that one could sport reaching out to everyone who crossed our path and with no fear. Hail South India, hail the template it comes with, hail each act of affection bit by bit as it is all about common man's writ.
