With stay this time in Srisailam just under one day, I wasn't inclined to extend as it involved lot of formalities with I not at ease. I having gained more than a fleeting glimpse of Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy decided to leave as all I asked for was a better view of the Lord and I putting in the prayers and that were somewhat broad. 

Much Different From Previous Time

It was much different from previous trek to this place when the stay was elaborate and visiting Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple on more than one occasion with enough intimation that the auto ride was the sole way to reach temple and roundabout and upbeat sentiments much to court. The previous time one automan came to my rescue by suggesting Kurni Satram was the sole place which could give accommodation as rules had been tweaked for those in single situation. So I stayed in Kurni Satram almost 750 to 1000 metres from Temple and even during odd hours had to engage Auto much to test one's bravado. This time round would the accommodation come easily was the thought I was preoccupied with as I took the ride from Secunderabad to Srisailam bringing the elementary apprehension that gaining no access would by no means ease the tension.

With this sort of dilemma and I in mood to visit Kurni Satram as temple is a bit far from there the automen I came across couldn't unplug the plight I was in and this seem to be limitless puzzle coming in double. Mr Amarnath came to my rescue but the slip he handed over nowhere mentioned it had a validity of 24 hours and that was the prime reason I did not extend my stay in Srisailam.

Having collected Tatkal Ticket (Priority Ticket) it was time to leave Secunderabad and head towards New Delhi where calls on random occasions come from Beverly. As the vehicle enters outskirts of Hyderabad the traffic in ton one can sight with notable presence made by fruit vendors here and there and that is the fun. One presumes they would be doing brisk business including on days that mark the arrival of Christmas. Hyderabad MGBS (Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station) is accessed at 7.40 with the bus station neat and tidy and there could be enough passengers who could be round the year buddy.

Having reached Secunderabad the next destination to access was Srisailam. Leave Jubilee Bus Station after 9 AM and MGBS after 10 with a halt at latter station for over 30 minutes with no thoughts on having doughnut. Soon after leaving Hyderabad and beyond there are scenic places on the way and drip irrigation pattern much in place and something to gauge. Amangal comes at 11.30, Dindi 12.40 and much celebrated Amrabad Tiger Reserve Periphery at 1.10 and here there is no ringing of bell. There are lot of mosques and temples on the way perhaps illustrating India is a nation of different faiths and here all are welcome including those who have written tests like NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) and GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test In Engineering).  Areas boasting of huge hills with splendid green cover could be seen with ascent beginning at 1.15. With Mannanur coming at 1.30, with no sighting of racing vehicle Ferrari and occupants need not be haughty.

None Willing To Dispense Room 

Lodges and Charitable Trust I tried for accommodation were Sri Uma Lingeswara Devanga Satram, Sri Krishna Devaraya Charitable Trust, Gowri Sadan, Ganga Sadan, Rudra Dormitory and Sholapur Dharamsala. With none willing to dispense room I am flustered and left with no option I reach out to Mr Amarnath in Srisailam Devasthanam Cop Station and he hands over the slip to be deposited at Sri Uma Lingeswara Devanga Satram Counter. There is more surprise in store as this slip has a validity for 24 hours only even if one has landed from Beverly. The room is fairly clean and with bed and other furnitures entirely treen. Visit To Srisailam Store opposite temple gets me the laminated pictures and there are enough watchers. The next day leave bed early and try for black tea and here visiting temple early morning hours most agree.

The time I am in temple queue it is well past 6 and from 6.30 onwards people start collecting in a big hall and there is another one housing equal number of devotees and this is true come Winter or Fall. Till 9.45 the gates of either hall don't open. And when gates do open there is stampede like rush and here Srisaila Devasthanam should bear in mind that they should open one hall at a time and after a brief interval open the second hall. Despite the rush multiplying the race to access Sanctum Sanctorum doesn't take much of a time and by 10.15 one can sight with ease Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy who is a force to reckon with. By 10.30 one is out of temple and later collect laddus and in this winter spell there be no need to go through rigmarole of gradus. The restaurant going by the name Murugan is nowhere to be seen and I settle for meals from Hotel Apoorva with Mr T Mahesh Reddy at the counter. Later I visit bus station to board a bus to Hyderabad A City Which Gets Yearly Reward.

It was a visit to Srisailam lasting less than 24 hours and sighting of Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy was a moment to relive again. The road to the temple and roundabout is free of litter and entire place looks to be squeaky clean. Mind you here you don't get mineral water in plastic bottle as use of plastic is entirely banned and water one can have from glass bottle. Srisailam has taken series of initiatives to be eco friendly and three cheers for bringing in this narrative and more and more are getting receptive.

Having attended Morning Aarti (Kakad Aarti) on Monday Morning and visited Sai Prasadalaya on New Prasadalaya Road I returned to my room in Sai Sampada with no intention to croon. Having come out of temple and visited other dargahs I made it a point to visit Dwarkamai and Sai Chawdi and returned to my room unmindful of Chess Tourney.

To not leave at that the Night Aarti I marked my attendance as well and never in the history of My Stay In Ahmednagar (Shirdi) I have had the privilege of attending four aartis in Aarti Hall the same day and as noted earlier Tuesday Is A Pray Day.  

Leaving Ahmednagar For Hyderabad

Wednesday Morning I left for Airport little disturbed by volley of abuse raised by some when I was in bathroom and not to be deterred by this dishonourable conduct I deemed fit to erase this act from my memory and with entire focus on Lord Sai And His Teachings In World Territory. The flight to Hyderabad departed little after 4.40 PM reaching Hyderabad one hour later and I boarding Airport bus (Pushpak Electric Buses) to reach Secunderabad the ride itself lasting more than two hours passing through Paradise, Banjara Hills and Begumpet. Took a room in Hotel Sagar Deluxe Lodge and booked a bus ticket to SRISAILAM meant to leave from Jubilee Bus Station. 

Three Cheers For Srisailam

SRISAILAM (Lord Shiva's Abode) which I was supposed to visit almost after five years and this meant to bring cheers. As for Secunderabad Padmaja Lodge and restaurant the food offered is palatable and fresh and three cheers for that. Equally thankful to Mr Rajnikant of Sri Vinayaka Travels Opposite Secunderabad Railway Station for getting me the SRISAILAM Ticket And I Having Made A Decision To Visit SRISAILAM And I On A Strong Wicket. Three Cheers For SRISAILAM.
