Expressing Gratitude To People of Somnath, Dwarkadhish and Nageshwar in Gujarat in India

Expressing Gratitude To People of Somnath, Dwarkadhish and Nageshwar in Gujarat in India

As i was in Dwarkadhish in Gujarat Mr Huda bhai of Shivam Dining Hall of Nageshwar along with his brother visited me in Agarwal Seva Sadan. Huda bhai handed me large picture of Lord Nageshwar. Huda bhai whom i have known since 2012 when i visited Nageshwar was meeting me after seven years. I have spoken to him several times on phone in these years. I had a long chat with him in Agarwal Seva Sadan room which is known for its space and spell of belongingness. I won't forget courtesy extended to me by Huda bhai who had recently visited Uttarakhand state in North India. About chat with Huda bhai and his brother i would write some other time. I am so thankful to Huda bhai.  Equally candid and helpful were Mr Yagnesh Kumar V Upadhayay, Balram bhai, Dhirubhai, Maharaj bhai, Mahendar bhai of Agarwal Seva Sadan. They provided me room in Agarwal Seva Sadan in an area where peace is the reigning sentiment and unlike city of Delhi where abuse flows from nearby house and people create nuisance as political class has no control over men in khaki. Dwarkadhish is a paradise unlike Delhi where pollution and money power rules the roost.

Different set of people i came across in Somnath  in Gujarat in India and not to be missed hospitality extended by them. In particular Mr Mahesh of Hotel Radhe in Somnath was helpful as he prepared meals for me time and again.

Of particular significance has been Mr Junaid of Amul store. Mr Abbas and Mr Sohaib of Dilkush Tea Centre, Narain bhai and his son of Chamunda Tea Centre, Mr Mahesh, Mr Javed, Mr Sunny, Kadi ben of Hotel Radhe deserve a word of appreciation. Mr Jayesh of Jalaram Travels whom i met in Somnath during early part of my stay had left for election duty as narrated by his wife. The courtesy extended by Mr Raju and Mr Rajesh of Somnath Trust office is not to be forgotten. Tuesday after attending morning aarti and having returned to room i recited Sunderkand. This was followed by another visit to Somnath Temple where i was witness to some portion of afternoon aarti.

Hotel Nandi and Hotel Deep where i would like to stay in future

After taking metthi paratha and curd i set out in search for hotels where i would like to stay in future. Hotel Nandi and Hotel Deep seem to be two place where i would like to stay in future. The search for hotel rooms took me to Om Guest House which has its owner as Mahendrabhai. Hotel Tirth with Mr Ajeet at the counter. Hotel Shivam with Akram bhai at the counter (Hotel Shivam belongs to Mr Kishore Barai and his son Amit bhai who now stay in Rajkot). Mr Kishore Barai and Mr Amit bhai used to stay in Somnath earlier where i have met them and they now run a palatial hotel in Rajkot.  Hotel Deep which is opposite Lohana Mahajan Vadi which has Deepak bhai and Dinesh bhai. Hotel Shivkrupa which has Vijaybhai V Devaliya Prajapati. Hotel Krishna with Mr Ramesh at the counter, Hotel Nandi with Mr Vipul J Raja. Hotel Nandi has been renovated in recent months. All these hotels and staff were keen to have me as their guest. I even visited Shyam Guest House.  Equally cheerful was Mr Afzal of Paavan tours and travels who was able to place me.

Mr Goswami's son was at Goswami book store and from here i collected writing notebook. From Ali Ahmed bhai's Sabri Store i collected Gillette shaving cream . Mr Qasim of nearby store was equally candid and helpful. Of particular significance has been Mr Suresh bhai of Somnath trust's merchandise store inside the temple who came with his child.

Enough Grandeur and Grace

Of particular significance is the Somnath Temple with enough Grandeur and Grace. A surging footfall round the year, the three sets of aarti during the entire day accompanied with playing of Shehnai (Shehnai is a South Asian music instrument), ringing of bells and beating of drums is something that keeps the tempo going. On the banks of Arabian sea the sight can reach miles into the sea with equally visible boats.  Somnath Jyotirlinga is easy to access and easy to reach, a prayer or two to Somnath Jyotirlinga is a must. The staff makes effort to keep temple and its premises clean.

I attended evening aarti on a Tuesday and post evening aarti i visited the temple again. Chamunda tea centre run by Narain bhai gets opened by 3.30 in the morning. On Tuesday evening i had handful of grapes along with two sets of curd and boarded an auto of automan Daddoo bhai to reach Somnath railway station. There i met S Sin working in GTPL that provided net connectivity and cable connection to entire State of Gujarat. The train from Somnath to Dwarka was destined to leave after 10 pm and reach after 7 am the next day. In the train i met a gentleman from Kakinada which he told me was 550 kms away from Hyderabad in Telangana. Telangana is peaceful and remain so. Some cities where posh colony staff and car drivers create reign of terror and pass filthy abuse would continue to get noted for their unworthy proceedings. The cities of South are a paradise and would continue to get top billing.
