The ride from Dwarkadhish to Ahmedabad in Gujarat

The ride from Dwarkadhish to Ahmedabad in Gujarat

When i checked out of Agarwal Seva Sadan on a Saturday,  i came across Kishorebhai of stationary shop a little after 7.15 am. It is automan Mr Eshwar who prods me to take his auto and he takes me to station. In Dwarkadhish station meet Mr Karthik and other members from Chennai. I tell them i have been to Rameswaram, Kanniyakumari, Kanchipuram, Madurai, Nagercoil and other places in Tamil Nadu State.  Meet Mr Babubhai, meet Mr Aditya working in Hotel Mercure in Dwarka. Earlier he worked in Bekal in Kerala near Mangalore. In Platform 1 the Tea and Refreshment stall of O J Lakhani has its shutters down and i hope it starts functioning soon.

The train i am supposed to board is Okha Nathdwara Express 19575 which has Engine no 16823.  The train leaves at 8.28, the scheduled departure time is 8.13, at 8.32 gains traction, at 8.36 wind power installations can be spotted. From here i have three sets of curd and go for sleep. At 11 am comes Hapa, 12.55 Rajkot, 1.47 Wankaner.  Stations on the way like Sabli Road and Lakhtar are fairly clean. At 4.08 Viramgam Junction, 4.25 Jakhvada, 4.37 Hotel Tokyo can be spotted, 4.45 Sanand and at 5.18 Ahmedabad.

In the train i would remain ever grateful to a family which boarded the train from Rajkot for letting me sit on a lower berth despite i having an upper berth seat. This family from Jetpur near Rajkot is into cloth business and scheduled to get down at Mandsaur in Madhya Pradesh.  Mind you Rajkot is the ninth cleanest city in India. I would remain ever grateful to Huda bhai and his brother from Nageshwar, the staff of Agarwal Seva Sadan and all those whom i came across in Dwarkadhish always beaming and relishing every moment spent in temple town. The Dwarkesh Amul store came handy as it had plenty to offer especially different sets of curd and the staff very helpful.

In Ahmedabad i stayed in Hotel Mukam. During night i could barely sleep as it was exceedingly hot and a gentleman had put on TV set on full volume in the adjoining room. Only when i asked him to pay heed to my request the TV set was shut.  Next day i had the opportunity to visit Camp Hanuman Temple in the heart of Ahmedabad.

Meet Mr Mahender in Hotel Kalapi, Mr Bashir in Hotel Mukam. Mr Bashir has come from Afghanistan. Meet Surendar, Rahul and Javed in Hotel Mukam.  Automan Mr Munnabhai takes me to Hotel Kalapi. Meet Mr Sharief while on a walk, meet automan Mehboob. Automan Jignesh takes me to Kalupur for bananas.  Mr Mohammad hands over bananas. As for Mr Bashir he is scheduled to leave for Afghanistan

Hope peace prevails in Afghanistan as well as Middle East.
