Notes from Somnath Temple in Gujarat in India

Notes from Somnath Temple in Gujarat in India

I have still not been able to figure out following long recitation (putting in prayers) in Somnath Temple that after returning to my room my stomach would be in order. To start a story like this is not an aberration; it is of top most concern that notes from body and mind are favourable enough to take different indulgences. In deference to Lord Somnath, long recitation is necessary. And herein lies the puzzle. After due recitation in the temple, later the minutes turning to hours the stomach stays fit and fine and and any intake including liquids and solid food keeps the tummy cosy and on course.

A Trek to Somnath Temple would be incomplete if long recitation is not put in occasionally hindered but not entirely lost to the commotion current in play and different range of conversations that is not attuned to turn grey. Future settings from Somnath Temple would suffice those who would trek all the way to the sacred place hoping against hope that their sailing in coming days and months would be smooth and saliently better. As for weather template at this time of the year, its scorching hot and not entirely muggy, breeze blowing in in fits and starts making the temperature occasionally look moderate. A Somnath Temple Outing can be once or more than that depending on your longing for the reigning Lord and a sense of camaraderie that you share with him. Lord Somnath is omnipresent and at times overburdened with a range of wishes that emanate from his followers but not taxing enough to shoo away his well wishers (conscience keepers). We wish well for the Lord and the Sanctum Sanctorum where he resides as the Lord radiates the same bonhomie to his ardent and not that ardent devotees.

Months of March to August can be a challenge to trek up to Somnath with unsettling summer, discomfiture drawn in hordes if you stay out in the Sun for long and heaps of histrionics if you can't resist to pull out now and then. Hesitation hits you hard if you are in two minds on whether to hit the Somnath trail or not. Be decisive and leave the rest to the Lord. Notwithstanding weather and will thousands and thousands are up to the task of making it to Somnath and the temple, the summer heat none to beat them down. One has to be extra cautious when away from home as the water you take and the food you binge on should be good to your stomach. There are no palatable eating joints near the Somnath Temple and there is a pressing need to get something going on that front.

Somnath Temple Aarti Three Times A Day Amidst Playing of Shehnai, Beating of Drums And Ringing of Bells

As for the Temple And Its Tale Of Success, during the time of aarti , three times a day, marked by playing of Shehnai, ringing of Bells and beating of Drums, the private security guards have turned wiser by not getting entirely rough with followers. Gone are the days when they used to employ full force to weed out any follower who would cross the path of priest carrying aarti. Pushing and shoving is entirely non existent and a neat order to the proceedings is the crowning glory.

A Trek To Somnath Temple can double up as an opportunity to sight the Arabian Sea drawing enough reservoir of strength from the Sun in the Sky with heaps of praise from sighting crowd. Sea Scents/ Tales are enough to ponder on thoughts of whether the sea would remain calm and quiet in the years to come or turn unpredictable encompassing sea battles involving sailors and suitors. This Arabian Sea extends for miles and miles and any attempt to lay a siege can be a nightmare. We Hope And Pray The Sea Stays Quiet And Temple Draws Accolades Of Support and Retains Its Glory For Centuries.

For those residing in the Caribbean, Somnath is a pilgrimage centre in India (Gujarat State), one of 12 Lord Shiva Jyotirlingas in India endowed with love and affection from devotees.
