KAL KI KHABAR: The Radia tapes and sustainability

KAL KI KHABAR: The Radia tapes and sustainability

The Asian Age, Jisko Log Deccan Chronicle Ke Naam Se Jante Hai in the South, has on its Dec 5 edition one story detailing the Radia-cum-Nadia Ki Naughty Harkate featuring the pictures of newsmakers who have ceased to write columns for the time being with the promise that their columns would be restored once employers are convinced enough that there is an urgent need to restore them as tape-triggered controversy has receded to history. Employers and their followers are also supposed to come out with this plea later that the publication which comes on a sustained seven day basis can't sustain itself in their absence given the sustainable nature of ideas these sustainable columns have been throwing for a sustained period.

This story of sustainability and substance is followed by another sustained campaign on Page 7 where one Antaryami Kumar is going ballistic on other party Cong for its declining imprints in view of BJP's uprising upheaval in the Hindi Heartland. His tete-a-tete is all about numbers and opportunities. Beginning with the plea that the number of days that the Cong-led Government has at its disposal are numbered as the number of occasions when the BJP has swung back to power after every poll reverse are unimaginable and unforeseen. A case of tales more than numerically strong etched in memory for long. The verdict from his stable: " No such luck awaits the over 100-year-old party."
The number of occasions when the BJP has staged a comeback is one that the Cong can't even imagine. Unimaginable are the possibilities for the BJP to get to the centrestage and demolish those who want to demolish the 2G probe. Taking this argument of number game further, he said apart from the days of the Cong-led government being numbered, the days of Cong office in Akbar Road are also numbered for the property tax it hasn't paid for years and the water and power bills it hasn't cleared in record time.
This Kumar too spoke about Greater NDA Idea and the identified and not-visible-now forces that would take the Greater Idea to its logical end. Sustaining the dialogue he sustained his focus on the Sushan of NItish Kumar and Sushil Modi and how it was unparallel in the State of Bihar much to be differentiated from the State of Gujarat. Speaking about waterloo and other loos, this Kumar took potshots at that Rahul and the loos that abound around their set-ups. He detailed the functioning loos in the BJP headquarters and places where the party has visible presence. "THe loos in the Cong HQs have not been in working condition for long and precisely for this very reason the translocation of bigwigs from Cong to BJP looks inevitable, giving more credence to the numbered days of Cong and its headquarters."
Asked about Once Nadia And Now Radia tapes and the alleged involvement of NDA workforce, this Kumar had this to say: " You want to shift the focus from the bigwigs of Indian journalism who are not comfortable with taking a well deserved break.
