Setting a precedent

Setting a precedent

The Karnataka Governor has set a precedent. The list he is talking about and the list we are seeking are entirely different. According to the communique released from Raj Bhawan the governor has an entire list of ministers who are absolutely corrupt, those who would be corrupt in due course of time and those who are vulnerable to be corrupt if remedial measures are not set in immediately.
The list is an endorsement of the fact that the pattern of governance in the state of Karnataka is truly and completely happening as corruption only happens when power flows. But this act of endorsement is in no way the Yeddy Govt's indictment as graft charges that are being levelled are primarily against those ministers whose ministries have been more than active in their pursuit to peak to new levels of activism.
In the melee of list preparation and upgradation what is actually lost is the list of council of ministers. What the list the governor has and what the list the public wants are entirely different. The Governor has the list of the tainted past and present ministers and a prospective list of ministers who when assuming office would be equally tainted. But this listed matter of the Governor doesn't endear the masses as they are solely interested in the list of the serving ministers who are actually tainted. The haphazard manner in which the list has been prepared doesn't appeal to the public as well since the sole motto of the caught-in-the-list-preparation-Governor is to invite the public to the Raj Bhavan and have more than a cursory look at the list and satisfy it to their satisfaction. For reaching this level of satisfaction elaborate meals have been promised along with elaborate stay where the maha mahim governor would be elaborate enough to elaborately explain the elaborate list and other listed matters in his agenda.
